A documentary on FIFA World Cup-winning Argentina, Ángel Di María, is coming to Netflix in September 2024.

Ángel Di María: Romper La Pared is an upcoming sports documentary chronicling the life and career of Argentine footballer Ángel Di María. The documentary will be a three-part special featuring testimonies from prominent figures throughout his football career, such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, José Mourinho, Lionel Scaloni, and some of his family.

The documentary will focus on his achievements throughout his career, as well as the pitfalls, sacrifices, and incredible challenges he faced.

The documentary is director by Juan Baldana, with Sergio Ferraro and Alejandro as the executive producers.

When is Ángel Di María: Romper La Pared coming to Netflix?

It has been confirmed that Ángel Di María: Romper La Pared is coming to Netflix on Thursday, September 12th, 2024.

Netflix has yet to release a trailer, but the YouTube channel EscribiendoCine has dropped the trailer.

You can find the documentary on the Netflix App or your browser, where you can use the “Remind Me” feature for when it’s released in September.

Who is Ángel Di María?

Ángel Di María is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for S.L. Benfica, one of Portugal’s most successful football teams in the Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese football.

Since making his debut in 2005 for Argentina’s Rosario Central, Di María has played in some of Europe’s most elite football divisions and for some of the world’s most famous football teams, such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus. So far, he has made over 760 club appearances.

His club honors include cup and league titles such as Primeira Liga, La Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue.

Di María has also made over 140 appearances for his international team, Argentina, which won the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Between his club and international career, he has made over 910 appearances and scored over 200 goals.

At the time of writing, Di María is competing in the 2024 Copa America and will retire from international duty after its conclusion.
