Netflix Acquires Nine Anime Titles for 2024 Including ‘Spy x Family’, ‘My Hero Academia’ and ‘Mob Pyscho 100’

Netflix Licenses Bunch Of Anime For 2024

Pictures via Funimation

Netflix continues licensing big titles, with the streamer today announcing via social media that it’s acquiring a bunch of anime for release on the service throughout 2024, whether it’s old classics that are coming back to Netflix or anime that has yet to appear. Here’s what we know.

Over the next few days, we’ll be getting new anime information thick and fast because Netflix has a strong presence at Anime Japan. They’ve already debuted information or assets for many of their upcoming titles, with lots more to come. For example, it confirmed that BEASTARS’ final season will be split into two parts (the first arriving in 2024) and that Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 will arrive in August 2024.

For now, given that Netflix Geeked first announced these anime arrivals, we can presume they are specifically for the United States at the very least. However, our understanding is that they’re going to be on Netflix in multiple countries—stay tuned. In the case of some times, they’re already streaming on Netflix.

Before we dive into what’s coming, we should give props to our friends at Netflix Portal, who have been tracking all these anime titles being activated on Netflix long before today’s announcements. Kudos!
