Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Seasons 1-4)
Coming to Netflix: Monday
By the time you’re reading this, you’ll be able to stream the first four seasons of the hit Fox-turned-NBC comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which stars Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, and Melissa Fumero.
The beloved show is set in a New York police department following the hijinx of Jake Peralta and his fellow officers. Of course, eight seasons were eventually produced for the show, with that eighth season airing three years ago now, and we hope they’ll be joining Netflix in due course.
Code 8: Part 2 (2024)
Coming to Netflix: Wednesday
One of two big Netflix Original movies this week is the long-awaited sequel to Code 8, which took Netflix by storm a few years back, earning itself a sequel exclusive to the streamer.
Starring Robbie and Stephen Amell, the movie picks up where the first (still streaming on Netflix) left off seeing Connor getting out of prison to take up a menial job. His efforts to lie low soon come to a quick end when he’s forced to help a 14-year-old escape from the authorities.
Spaceman (2024)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
A mix of sci-fi and fantasy, we’ll see Adam Sandler’s first major Netflix movie release of 2024 at the end of the week with the arrival of Spaceman.
Adapted from the book Spaceman of Bohemia, Sandler plays the role of an astronaut who serves as his country’s first. During his epic space adventure, however, he comes across a talking spider.
If you’re in a big US city like New York or Los Angeles, you can actually go and watch this movie right now with it showing in select theaters from last Friday onwards. It’s worth seeing the Sand Man on the big screen if you can.
