Jenn Tran: My ‘The Bachelorette’ ending has “never happened before”

Reality

The Bachelorette star Jenn Tran has teased that the ending of her season has “never happened before.”

The ending of Joey Graziadei’s The Bachelor season was unprecedented because Daisy Kent had predicted her second-place finish and spoke to Kelsey Anderson about her suspicions moments before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Daisy then initiated her breakup with Joey before he could officially dump her, and so their split on The Bachelor finale was mutual.

Fans can now expect that Jenn’s The Bachelorette ending will also be groundbreaking.

“I think I’m also being told that the ending of my season is also something that has never happened before,” Jenn, 26, told former The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe at CMA Fest in Nashville on Saturday, June 8.

Kaitlyn shared a clip of her interview with Jenn via Instagram Stories on Saturday.

Jenn, however, declined to share details about her supposed never-before-seen outcome of The Bachelorette.

Regardless of whether Jenn’s The Bachelorette ending delivers a real shock factor, she has already made history for the franchise.

“[I’m the] first Asian Bachelorette, first [Physician Assistant] student — we’re really breaking the mold this season,” Jenn told Entertainment Tonight in March.

Jenn had 25 bachelors to choose from on Night 1 at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, CA — not at the usual Bachelor mansion in Malibu — when the show began filming in late March, and production has already wrapped.

In late May, Jenn returned to social media and posted a handful of beautiful photos of herself attending the Warner Bros. AAPI Heritage Month celebration.

“Proof of life!!!!!!!!” Jenn captioned the images on Instagram, confirming she’s back home after taping The Bachelorette.

“Past couple of months have been crazy but I’m back, I’m grateful, and it’s only just the beginning. Also just in time for a proper celebration of AAPI month.”

The Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer teased in her Instagram comments that calling Jenn’s The Bachelorette season “crazy” is “an understatement.”

The Bachelorette’s 21st season is scheduled to premiere Monday, July 8 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Earlier this year, Jenn spoke to ET about how viewers are “not going to get” a polished version of herself when they tune in and watch The Bachelorette this summer.

“You’re not going to get ‘[Meek] and Perfect Jenn.’ You’re going to get ‘Crazy Jenn,’ and that’s the beautiful part of it,” Jenn boasted of her approach to dating on The Bachelorette.

Jenn said viewers will witness her “fiery energy” and flirtatious nature.

Jenn also mentioned how she hoped to end up with a confident and playful man who will “ground” her but also be silly and have a cheeky banter with her.

Jenn will be handing out roses after having her heart broken by Joey on The Bachelor’s 28th season, which aired in March on ABC.

Joey had denied Jenn a rose right before his Final 4 bachelorettes’ hometown dates.

Jenn was smitten with Joey on The Bachelor, but he chose to advance Kelsey, Daisy, Maria Georgas, and Rachel Nance instead.

Joey went on to propose marriage to Kelsey during his The Bachelor finale, and the couple is still together. Joey and Kelsey are planning to move to New York together in July or August, once Kelsey’s lease in New Orleans is up.

When asked how long it took her to heal and move on from her relationship with Joey, Jenn recently told Us Weekly, “You can’t really put a time on processing a breakup.”

“I think [you take it] just little by little,” she shared, “and one day you just stop thinking about it. It just took a lot of my friends bringing me ice cream and a lot of that.”
