On Married at First Sight’s 18th season, Michelle received a strange text message from David while he was out partying with their co-stars Allen and Madison one night.

The text read, “You are so damn fine I just wanna eat U up,” but Michelle assumed the message was not intended for her since she and David didn’t have that kind of flirty or sexual relationship.
David insisted he had meant to send that text to his cousin Denise when complimenting a plate of food she was eating that night, but Denise ended up throwing David under the bus by admitting to Michelle that he was lying.
Married at First Sight: Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam put David on the spot about his awkward sexting scandal during the Lifetime talk show’s latest episode.
“When you look, you’ll always find. Are you cheating?” Keshia bluntly asked David.
“No, I’m not cheating,” David replied.
“You’re not cheating. Okay,” Keshia noted with skepticism in her voice.
“Maybe I stepped out emotionally,” David clarified, picking up on Keshia’s disbelief.
David explained how he was probably looking for attention or validation at the time since his wife didn’t seem to like him or want to get to know him on a deeper level.
“Have you fooled around with anyone else?” Keshia asked for the second time.
“No, I have not,” David insisted.
David also claimed that Michelle wanted to know if he had sexted another woman — or cheated on her — just to know, and not because she actually cared about him or their marriage.
“So I don’t feel the need to give her [evidence],” David explained, adding how Michelle didn’t even deserve an explanation.
Keshia told David that she wasn’t judging him and just wanted to hold him accountable.
When asked if he was still in his marriage to Michelle, David responded, “Am I in this marriage still? It’s a good question. Yeah, I guess 50-50.”
“It’s hard for me right now,” he continued.
“I am spiraling in terms of what I’m not getting and what I really wanted going into this — and putting my heart into it and actually trying and continuing to try just [to get repeatedly rejected].”
David elaborated, “I don’t see the pin moving towards what could possibly be or even just a friendship.”
Keshia pointed out how she thought David was a stand-up guy up to this point and she was “disappointed” watching the show because “he knew better and could’ve done better.”
David agreed and acknowledged, “I probably should’ve handled the situation different… [I need to] work on myself.”
It has yet to be revealed whom exactly David had been texting that night, but Married at First Sight previews tease that Michelle suspected Madison was supposed to be the recipient of David’s sext.
“Now he’s got some explaining to do!” Michelle vented on the January 28 episode of Married at First Sight.
“Now we have to figure out, ‘What is the real story? Who was the message for? Was it in response to a photo? Whose photo was sent? Did he see someone across the bar and was sending it on the spot?’ Now I have a million more questions that I want answered.”
