With one flip of a coin, Tiffany is out of power, and a new secret HOH is holding all the power from the shadows…which didn’t matter because they are the exact same nominations. The Veto was up for the taking as Sarah Beth, Xavier, and Kyland fought it out to get to safety.
Claire dethroned Tiffany from power this week, but since the nominations remained the same, Tiffany knew instantly that Claire won the Coin of Destiny. Tiffany suggested that to keep it a secret, she’ll tell everyone that she overthrew herself, which Claire didn’t exactly love, since she does want to take control of the move to get Sarah Beth out of the house.
Clearly upset by her nominations, Sarah Beth thought that the reasoning behind her getting nominated was a personal decision, not a strategic one. She questioned why a secret HOH would keep the nominations the same, unless they were considered a house target. I kind of agree with her, because if Claire wanted to take his HOH move by herself, then she should’ve nominated whoever she wanted, rather than keep it the same.
Because there were three nominees, Xavier, Kyland, and Sarah Beth picked the chips for the Veto participants, since Claire had to remain anonymous. Ironically, Claire was selected to play in the competition, along with Alyssa and Hannah to complete the competitors.
Before the competition, Claire contemplated whether Sarah Beth leaving this week is the best for her game. Because everything she does is in secret, everyone but Tiffany would be none the wiser if they didn’t know she was HOH.
Today’s Veto Competition was also a reward competition, sponsored by the upcoming movie “Dear Evan Hansen,” where its star, Ben Platt made a video to the players revealing a grand prize. Whoever wins the competition gets to have a movie night with an advanced screening of the movie.
The competition was played individually. They had to arrange 10 pictures of the HouseGuests arranged in a high school setting. Little details in each picture contained clues to make each picture tell a chronological story. The players had to arrange the pictures into chronological order as fast as possible, with the best time winning the competition.
The photos were very specific, like Derek X. was holding an apple in one picture, and in the next picture the apple has bite taken out of it. Or Brent without a black eye in one picture, but then he has a black eye after getting hit in the face with a dodgeball. Those small details threw off a lot of people, especially Alyssa, who kept increasing the number of mistakes that she made because she didn’t switch pictures around.
Kyland and Xavier were fighting hard for the Veto, despite the fact that they felt safe due to the Cookout.
Hannah made a shady comment as she started the competition, looking at the first picture saying “Awe, Travis. Does anyone remember Travis? I don’t!” It always stinks being the first boot of the season, but you didn’t have to get him THAT hard, Hannah!
Being the main target, Sarah Beth knew she had to move fast to make sure she won. She would study pictures as she was running up to put them in her slots, so that she can understand the details quicker. Her mind moved quick enough that she was able to get it rather quickly as well.
When revealing the scores, Kyland held the lead to begin with 5:25, but Hannah took the Power of Veto with a time of 4:59! While happy that her ally won the competition, Claire was disappointed she didn’t win, since she was highly considering trying a different move than what Tiffany wanted.
Kyland, while sitting in his increasingly deteriorating game, believed that Hannah would use the Veto on him. Not just because of the Cookout, but he believed that he’s close enough with her that it would make sense. However, he described to Sarah Beth that he will campaign to get off the block so that maybe the secret HOH will nominate a bigger threat.
Since Hannah won the movie screening, she decided to take the three nominees with her to the movie. They showed some footage of the movie, as well as their reactions to it.
Loose lips sink ships, because Kyland spilled to Claire how he wants the Veto used on him, which means Claire told Tiffany. An outraged Tiffany said some very expletive things in the Diary Room about Kyland’s delusion, since the Cookout’s plan is to sit next to their respective duo on the block, and the partner goes home.
Kyland began the pitch to Hannah to use the Veto on him. He tried his best to say that it would be better for Sarah Beth to get one sympathy vote, rather than it be unanimous.
Hannah saw through this, discovering that he’s trying to get the vote to flip away from Sarah Beth and get someone else out. This completely contradicts the plan of the Cookout, and it made Hannah speculate whether Kyland is still wanting to run with the Cookout.
Hannah did decide to use the Veto….on Xavier. Since Xavier was a special third nominee, there was no need for a replacement nominee. This leaves another Cookout duo sitting on the block to face eviction.
Before signing off for the night, the BB announcer revealed that tomorrow’s HOH competition will be an endurance competition! Second one of the season, and it could be anything! My prediction: the BB slip-and-slide!
Prediction for Eviction:
This will most likely be a unanimous vote to send Sarah Beth out of the house. Another check mark will be made on the Cookout’s to-do list, and they can focus to the next week. I don’t think any sympathy votes will be made towards Kyland, since that will look a little suspicious to the rest of the house. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to the first jury house segment of the season, where Sarah Beth walks in right after she evicted Derek X. Karma can be really annoying can’t it?
