Watch the ‘Alaska Daily’ Trailer, and Get Ready for the Series Premiere!

It’s time to solve a cold case in Alaska!

While promoting her new series Alaska Daily on Good Morning America, Hilary Swank, announced she is pregnant with twins!

The actress will be tapping into the role of an investigative journalist — one of the best, according to Stanley (Scandal’s Jeff Perry), who comes to her house to offer her a job in Anchorage. He shows her a photo of a young girl who went missing two years ago, noting that her death is a pattern of murdered indigenous women.

“I’m a reporter, you don’t need me,” Swank’s Eileen informs him, to which he replies, “You break big stories, hunny, we’re just missing too much.”

It seems Stanley’s persuasion works on Eileen, who is seen on a plane landing in Alaska as a voiceover explains that “Alaska has a funny way of revealing things to you.”

“Outsiders come to disappear or to reinvent themselves,” the voice continues, as viewers see a wall of missing girl posters behind Eileen.

We then meet Eileen’s new team, including Rosalind (Grace Dove), who informs her that no one is going to do anything about these murders so it’s up to them to figure it out.

But that comes with its fair share of issues, it’s soon revealed. “You show up and start asking questions? Be careful,” her colleague Austin (Craig Frank) informs her before she gets a threatening call telling her to go back to New York and stop being a “corrupt” journalist.

While we have no doubt that Swank will give it her all, but with two female leads determined to get justice, the breathtaking mountainous scenery, and the cold cases involving missing women, it does give off Big Sky vibes.

Check out the trailer below! The series premieres on ABC on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. ET!
