Lower than a month after getting into improvement, the reboot of The Contemporary Prince of Bel-Air has landed a sequence order.
New streamer, Peacock has ordered two seasons of the extremely anticipated sequence adaptation of Morgan Cooper’s lauded fan movie BEL- AIR.
Will Smith broke the information through his social media accounts.

Set in modern-day America, BEL-AIR is a serialized one-hour dramatic analogue of the 90’s sitcom “The Contemporary Prince of Bel-Air” that leans into the unique premise: Will’s difficult journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.
With a reimagined imaginative and prescient, BEL-AIR will dive deeper into the inherent conflicts, feelings and biases that have been unimaginable to completely discover in a 30-minute sitcom format, whereas nonetheless delivering swagger and nods to the unique present.
Cooper wrote and directed the four-minute spec trailer, debuting the video on social media in March 2019. The trailer, which at the moment has over 6 million views on YouTube caught the eye of Smith, and in a response video he known as the movie and concept good.
BEL-AIR is produced by Common Tv, a division of Common Studio Group and Westbrook Studios, a division of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s media firm Westbrook Inc.
Chris Collins will function showrunner and government producer and is co-writing the present with Morgan Cooper who wrote the movie and can function co-executive producer.
The sequence can also be government produced by Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and Andy & Susan Borowitz.
