Alaskan Bush People returns on Sunday night to Discovery Channel. However, with all the news about the Brown family coming back for their 14th season of reality TV, many fans are still asking if Matt Brown was going to return to the show.
It is rare to read any social media post by any of the Brown siblings, or by the Alaskan Bush People site itself, and not see people asking for Matt to come back home and return to the show. However, is there a chance that he could be back for Season 14?
Matt Brown was fired from Alaskan Bush People
Matt Brown was the oldest son to Billy Brown and was a big part of Alaskan Bush People in its first few seasons. However, Matt had his own struggles and inner demons. He ended up with an addiction to drugs and alcohol and ended up heading to rehab to work on his recovery.
However, Matt said that producers from his own show were who kept supplying him with the drugs. Whether this is true or not remains unknown. With that said, it burned some bridges. Then things got worse when two women accused Matt of sexual assault in 2020. The district attorney declined to prosecute based on lack of evidence.
This is what really got him fired from the show, and never invited back. After these accusations, most of his family have refused to speak to him. While Matt and Billy reportedly made up before the patriarch’s death, he clearly is still estranged from the rest of his family. Only Bear Brown wished Matt a happy birthday on social media this past year.
Could Matt return to Alaskan Bush People?
There is almost no chance that Matt Brown returns to Alaskan Bush People this season, or for any future season. No matter what he does right in his new life, Discovery probably won’t touch him again. Based on his Instagram posts and YouTube videos, he is doing very well in his recovery process.
Matt said he and his dad reconciled before Billy Brown died last year. However, when the funeral aired on Alaskan Bush People, Matt Brown was nowhere to be seen. If he wasn’t on the show during his own father’s funeral, he likely won’t be on for any other reason. That really was his last chance, honestly.
His brother Bear Brown got married and that will air this season. However, in previous posts by Raiven Brown, she made it clear the family was finished with Matt. She also said no one knows what all went on in real life. It sounds like, whatever any of us knows, Matt Brown and his family have a severed relationship. Matt said as much in some of his videos, where he said his truth will come out one day. With that said, fans will still get their fill of Matt thanks to his Instagram and YouTube videos, which are just as entertaining as anything else his family is doing.
