Bachelorette Katie Thurston took to social media to speak out about a recent sexual assault and the justice system. What happened?

Katie Thurston Speaks Out About Recent Sexual Assault

Bachelorette star Katie Thurston created a Facebook support group in 2021 for victims of sexual assault. C.A.L.M. (Creating a Lovely Masterpiece) is a private group where members can share their stories with an option to post anonymously.

Unfortunately, the aspiring stand-up comic recently experienced another sexual assault. She took to her social media on Friday, June 28, to speak out about how the justice system failed her.

She shared a snapshot of an unidentified man, presumably the person who assaulted her. “It took 7 months for the San Diego Justice to let me down as a rape victim,” she wrote on the photo.

She didn’t share more details about the assault or how the courts let her down. However, it’s possible she pressed charges, and the court dismissed them or didn’t pursue a trial.

The reality star will likely share more details with her devoted social media followers. She recently shared that she’s in a new relationship, and hopefully, she can find support from her boyfriend.
