Danielle Maltby Mourns Death Of Best Friend

Bachelor in Paradise Danielle Maltby is mourning the death of her best friend she lost on Sunday morning. She shared multiple photos of Rayven and said,

Early Sunday morning I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl. I know I was on borrowed time with Rayven and her mounting health issues but the guilt in that decision is still so heavy. In almost 18 years I never felt fully alone bc she was always there. One of my best friends in college and I had a habit of going to the humane society or looking through the site when nursing school got to stressful, and then one day I saw Ray on line and I knew she was mine. Knew it in my soul.

Danielle continued talking about her beloved Rayven and how she has been with her through so much and endured all her heartbreaks with her. She said she was there when she graduated from nursing school, traveling together for travel nursing assignments, meeting and losing my fiancé, moving to Nashville, and then moving to Cleveland. She continued, “Every major heartbreak she was there. I think she was holding on to be with me through the last heartbreak… but the void her tiny body left feels so vast.”

She Shared More About Her Beloved Ray

Danielle Maltby continued talking about Ray and how she got her name. She said she named her because of her crow-like meow but crow is not a good name for something so “regal and fluffy.”

She went on to share that Ray was able to charm even the toughest anti-cat people. Rayven loved cheese and went crazy when Danielle ate cereal.

Danielle went on to share everything she already missed about Ray. She said, “I miss her smell, her meow, the way she looked basking in the sun, and the way she would hold my hand with her paws while she slept curled up next to me.”

She thanked the vet and their staff who took care of her and helped her through this difficult time. Danielle ended her post by sharing that she misses her girl so much.
