Dancing With The Stars fans felt overjoyed and surprised when pro dancers Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd announced they were expecting their third child together. This year, they will welcome a third son and couldn’t be happier.
Many fans also were surprised when Peta proclaimed she planned to keep dancing and wanted to return to DWTS this fall. Even though she would be just a few months postpartum and have two children under two years of age, Peta can’t be stopped.
As Peta’s pregnancy continues, she and her family continue posting adorable Instagram videos. And of course, dance is a focal point in many of them.
And that’s exactly why Peta decided to put her husband Maks to the ultimate test.

Professional dancing on its own is difficult. But professional dancing while pregnant is an entirely different beast. Peta Murgatroyd decided it was time for her husband to share in the experience.
The couple made a few Instagram videos where they used Saran wrap to strap a watermelon to Maks’ belly and two grapefruits onto his chest.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for two straight years ….” the mother of three captioned her video. “Putting @maksimc to the test made my dreams come true 😏”
In the second video, Maks performed a short routine while adorned with fruit while Peta had a snack and watched on in approval.
“First of all, THIS SUCKED!” Maks captioned his own Instagram video. “Secondly, I took it off my body as soon as we filmed this video…..ONCE! Thirdly, my diaphragm is still upset at me for agreeing to do this! Fourthly, @petamurgatroyd was way too happy the whole time 😤 Fifthly, WOW how uncomfortable this is! I cannot believe Peta ties her shoes, holds Rio all day, still dances and in general makes it look so easy 🤷🏻♂️🤯 I hope she doesn’t make me do this again.”
Fans loved the video and thought it was absolutely perfect. Many agreed that Peta Murgatroyd does make professional dancing while pregnant look simple when it isn’t at all.
