She even suffered more injuries while in the hospital in another accident. However, co-star Erin Krakow has checked in with an update.

Erin Krakow Updates When Calls The Heart Fans On Mamie Laverock
Mamie Laverock was rushed to the hospital in May with a medical emergency. However, things got worse when she was involved in a multi-story fall while being transported in the hospital. When Calls the Heart co-star Erin Krakow now has an update for fans.
Krakow said that Mamie, 19, is recovering slowly. The actress said that Mamie is “on the mend. I’ve been in touch with her parents, and it’s a really tough time for the family right now” (via Entertainment Tonight). Erin, who plays Elizabeth Thornton in When Calls the Heart, said that she has been in touch with Laverock.
Erin had previously spoken about Mamie, but she said the cast of the hit Hallmark show wanted to give Mamie’s parents some privacy.
Mamie Laverock Injured Worse While In Hospital
After Mamie Laverock ended up in the hospital with a medical emergency, the unthinkable happened. The hospital was transferring her to a different part of the hospital, and something happened that caused her to fall five stories during the transfer.
Mamie’s mother said that the fall “shattered” her daughter’s body (via the Los Angeles Times). She then said that her recovery was a miracle. While the actual cause of the fall remains a mystery, Mamie’s mother said it was not her daughter’s fault, and it was the hospital’s fault. They are considering legal action against the hospital.
A spokesperson for Providence Health Care, which operates the hospital, told PEOPLE it won’t comment on “patient-related matters” due to confidentiality policies. However, if this goes to court, they won’t have much of a choice. The rep said, “an internal critical incident review is conducted to determine exactly what happened and to make recommendations for improved patient safety.”
Mamie’s family started a GoFundMe account to help with the medical bills. They set a goal of $30,000 and have already raised $38,212 (in Canadian dollars).
Mamie Laverack had had two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her and two other surgeries after those, including one that lasted three more hours. “She is enduring tremendous pain and continues to not give up,” the GoFundMe page reveals.
