Fans Blast Lawson Bates For Exploiting Son’s Illness
Tiffany and Lawson Bates were desperate to have a child and they struggled a lot to bring a baby into the world. It felt like all of his siblings were having children but he and his wife were struggling to make it happen. Finally, in July 2024, the couple shared that their son, William, had entered the world. They were beyond thrilled about this and could not wait to share the news with the world. Tiffany and Lawson have continued to share updates while his siblings are continuing to grow their families.
Carlin Bates just announced she was expecting baby number three and is over the moon for this. It came at a great time as their mother, Kelly Jo Bates, was hospitalized earlier this year. Everyone rallied around her to ensure that she was okay so another baby is just more healing for Kelly Jo who is on the path to recovery. Unfortuntely, some of that excitement has been derailed as Lawson shared a clickbait post regarding Will on his YouTube channel. That caused fans to lash out against him as they felt it was misleading and cruel.

According to a Reddit thread, Lawson Bates claimed that he was giving a health update regarding Will. That was not necessarily true as it was just his son’s six-month checkup. Immediately, followers chimed in with a lot to say and it was not positive:
- Stop exploiting your f*cking kid’s medical issues.
- What’s wrong with Will?
- Nothing. 6 month pediatrician appointment…..click bait.
It then turned into people slamming the couple for thinking they were bigger than they actually were.
Who Are They?
Based on the way that the video was filmed, Bringing Up Bates fans started to bash Lawson Bates. They questioned who he thought he was and if he believed that he was a huge movie star. More so, they noted that Lawson and Tiffany were not entertaining but their son was:
- They really think they’re movie stars don’t they? This is beyond obnoxious.
- I’ve not heard a word neither one of them have said . My eyes have been on Will the whole time he’s so entertaining at least he has personality
There was also some controversy about the videos going through a high-quality process. A few felt that every influencer used it whereas others said they had only seen it on Lawson and Tiffany’s videos. In the end, it did not matter because the bottom line was they made Will’s checkup seem far more dramatic than it was.
