Fans Slam Mitchell Kolinsky, Say He’s Not A Real Farmer

TV Shows

Farmer Wants A Wife is a big hit on Fox, as farmers look for love. However, not all viewers believe that Mitchell Kolinsky is even a real farmer. Is it all just a gimmick? Or, do viewers have the wrong idea about him?

Farmer Wants A Wife: Farmer Mitchell Kolinsky Is Looking For Love

Just like the other three farmers on Season 2 of Farmer Wants A Wife, Mitchell Kolinksky is looking for his forever. At this point in the season, there have been solo dates, and some ladies are out of the running. The way host Jennifer Nettles saw it, though, the farmers have been a little too timid with their potential wives.

In recent scenes, the Sugarland singer encouraged the farmers to step up their game when it came to the physical aspect of things. There comes a point where you can be too polite and too respectful, and Nettles encouraged the farmers to start focusing on building a physical spark with their ladies.

Fans Slam Mitchell, Say He Isn’t a ‘Real Farmer’

There’s no denying that Farmer Wants A Wife has a gimmick. Being a farmer is a very specific lifestyle. Those who practice it certainly have some overlap in terms of stereotypes and the way that they live their lives. Odds are good that farmers all have a steady supply of cowboy hats. In addition to no shortage of denim, as farmers on the current season do.

However, being a farmer consists of a lot more than just nailing the aesthetic. Some say that Mitchell Kolinsky isn’t a “real farmer.” Some viewers think it’s all aesthetic and no true grit for Mitchell.

Farmer Wants A Wife: Is Mitchell Kolinsky A Legit Farmer?

Mitchell Kolinsky is a first-generation farmer. He owns and operates his new farm in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Rather than inheriting a farming legacy, he is building one, and he started from scratch. His family members lead more traditional lives with regular jobs. However, Mitchell Kolinsky knew that the outdoors was where his heart was.

Recently, a Farmer Wants A Wife fan who works in the farming industry spoke out in Mitchell’s defense. The viewer said of Mitchell, and of farming in general: “You do not need to own thousands of acres to be a farmer or rancher, and as a farmer, you don’t need a cowboy hat.”

The viewer went on to say: “Mitchell is first generation. He didn’t inherit any land and has had to make a fresh start in an economy that punishes young people for trying to invest in their home or a property and has gotten what he could find where he wants to be.”

“Mitchell is a farmer. He farms,” the viewer added.

Whatever viewers may think of Mitchell and his legitimacy, it appears that he is farmer-approved by his peers.
