Good Morning America lost Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos all on the same day.
All three of the show’s most well-known hosts were gone on at the end of this week. This shake-up comes amid multiple unexplained absences and uncertainty in the talk show world. Read on to find out why GMA replaced all of their front-line hosts. And what their plan is for next week.
Talk Show World In Chaos
Good Morning America isn’t the only talk show currently in chaos right now. With writers and actors striking together in Hollywood for the first time in over six decades, everything is upside-down in the show biz world. Over on The View, fans have pressed hosts about their plans to keep working. Whoopi Goldberg has faced unprecedented pressure to strike with her fellow actors. And viewers worry about what the future holds for their morning staples as the strikes drag on and escalate through the months.
At GMA, both Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan have mysteriously gone missing over the past few weeks. Robin was on an extended vacation, then returned to the studio as planned. But the day after she returned, she was gone again. Both she and Michael disappeared at the end of last week, and no explanations were given. They did return to the studio this week, but the coming-and-going of hosts has viewers jumpy about the chaos in Tinsel Town.
GMA Loses Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos On The Same Day
Then at Good Morning America again this week, some of the show’s major hosts were all abruptly replaced as of Thursday.
Headlining hosts Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos were all missing from the studio at the end of this week. Replacement hosts DeMarco Morgan, Eva Pilgrim, and Whit Johnson took over for the missing trio. DeMarco and Eva are not usually brought to the desk to replace main hosts, but this week’s chaos seems to have necessitated it.
However, they did not provide any insight as to when the three main hosts will return. It should be noted that this is a normal time for morning show hosts to take vacations. After all, it’s the heart of summer and kids are all out of school. It’s the perfect family time for hosts with a mind to enjoy the warm weather.
Almost certainly, the hosts will all be back in the studio as soon as possible.
