Now that Discovery’s Shark Week is done, Gold Rush spinoff Hoffman Family Gold Season 2 continues with Episode 7, entitled “Hold My Gear.” How is the competition going between Todd Hoffman and his oldest son Hunter Hoffman?

What Happens In Hoffman Family Gold ‘Hold My Gear’?
Although Jason Momoa hosted a sensational Shark Week on Discovery, Hoffman Family Gold fans have been a little impatient. Season 2 is more than halfway over, and the Hoffmans are nowhere near their 1,000 ounces of gold goal. Will they make it?
According to Rotten Tomatoes, in the upcoming episode called “Hold My Gear,” Todd’s team cannot catch a break. The Holy Roller has a potential transmission issue. This is a huge issue that could shut the whole claim down.
However, Randy and Tater have an idea. Their bush fix solves the problem. Better yet, they get the gold moving. The result is putting some smiles on their hard-working team’s faces.
Over on Hunter Hoffman’s claim, he decides to go after some better paydirt. Therefore, Todd’s eldest leads his rebel team to a new cut. Is this a wise gamble, or will his team of pirate gold miners score big?
Most of all, the two teams push through some difficult odds and obstacles. They are in the dog days of mining. Their window is short. If they are not on the gold real soon, Todd’s gamble will be for not.
After a week of hard work, the Hoffmans reunite. The result is the best weigh-in of the season. But, will it be enough?
Is Todd Hoffman ‘The Gold Shark’?
At the end of Discovery’s Shark Week, a fan of the Gold Rush spinoff went to Twitter to declare Todd Hoffman the perfect host for that annual week of shark-related material. The fan wrote on Twitter, “Todd Hoffman AKA “The Gold Shark.” They won’t make that mistake next year. Next year’s shark week host?”
To that, Todd replied, “More guys look like me then Aquaman. ;-).”
Whether Todd will be the host of Shark Week or not, his series Hoffman Family Gold will be back next year. Hoffman has been sharing on the social media platform that they are filming Season 3. Best of all, they are getting a lot of gold.
Recently, Todd shared the a. BTS video of the camera people and other crew filming him filming them. In addition, a beaming Jack Hoffman and Hunter Hoffman are also there. Sounds like the whole family survived the gold competition and is going for more gold now.
