Hallmark Mystery has announced their August programming. This includes a surprise new mystery movie that stars When Calls The Heart fan-favorites Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. The two play married couple Rosemary and Leland Coulter on the long-running series. In addition, Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier are paired up in another mystery.

Jazz Ramsey: A K-9 Mystery Kicks Off August Movies
The first Hallmark Mystery in August is Jazz Ramsey: A K-9 Mystery. This movie stars Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier. The premiere of this movie is on Friday, August 2, at 9 p.m., Eastern, as well as on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
According to TV Insider, “When Jazz Ramsey and her crime detection dog, Zeus, stumble upon an old crime scene, the K-9 trainer, her star pup, and ex-boyfriend and lead detective Nick are thrown into the investigation.”
WCTH Stars Pascale Hutton And Kavan Smith Star In New Hallmark Mystery
The second August Hallmark Mystery is called Nelly Knows Mysteries. Right now, that is the working title. Therefore, it could change. This stars WCTH stars Pascale Hutton, as well as Kavan Smith. In addition, Sarah Grey, and Julian Haig. The premiere is on Friday, August 23, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on HM. In addition, this mystery will be available to stream on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
This movie has a bit of a POstables type of twist. At Nelly’s office, an unusual letter arrives. She recognizes the handwriting. It is from her childhood friend Dahlia. In this letter, Dahlia tells Nell that her boyfriend black was unfaithful. Nelly decides to do her own investigation. Therefore, she decides to visit Blake, the allegedly unfaithful boyfriend. However, when Nelly arrives, he is dead! Now, because she is the girlfriend, Dahlia is the main suspect.
Now Nelly needs to prove that Dahlia is innocent. Moreover, Nelly finds herself working with Michael, the new detective, to find out who the murderer is.
Where Are Mystery Sequels?
Many Sleuthers have been waiting for news on the sequel to Aimee Garcia and Paul Campbell’s Cases Of Mystery Lane. Or, they are waiting for an Aurora Teagarden reboot sequel. Also, Stephen Huszar recently revealed that he and Jodie Sweetin recently filmed four new Jane Mysteries. When is Hallmark Mystery going to premiere these sequels? Also, there are rumors of another Curious Caterer or Hannah Swensen. What is happening?
There are not many more opportunities for mystery premieres in 2024. With an average of two premieres a month, it seems probable that there will be three or four mysteries premiering before Miracles Of Christmas kicks off in October. However, it does seem that Hallmark Mystery is set for a sleuthing 2025.
