Hearties Disillusioned With Another Impossible ‘WCTH’ Cliffhanger

TV Shows

Hearties have gone to social media to complain about the WCTH Season 11 finale entitled “Anything For Love.” They are angry about the cliffhangers from the past two seasons. This year, the cliffhanger showed a happy Nathan and Elizabeth. They have declared their love for each other. It is all sunshine and rainbows in the near future.

However, when Superintendent Hargraves wants to speak to Elizabeth, things quickly take a turn. He told her, “Mrs. Thornton. It’s about your late husband.”

Now, the buzz is whether or not Daniel Lissing is returning to reprise his role as Jack Thornton. However, some Hearties have not forgotten last year, when Henry went to Abigail’s door. Then, after Season 10 ended, the When Calls The Heart co-creator Brian Bird told podcasters they were having “conversations” with Lori Loughlin. However, Hallmark denied that they were talking with her.

Then, this season, the writers baited the idea that Jack would return with this recent cliffhanger. Fans of the Hallmark series are not happy with these cliffhangers that allude to the return of departed WCTH stars that the series will never fulfill. This is the first time in years that Team Nathan and Team Lucas are in full agreement.

What did they have to say?

Hearties Are Angry At WCTH Writers Keep Baiting The Return Of Departed Stars

Hearties are getting tired of the WCTH writers baiting them with the possible return of former stars Lori Laughlin and Daniel Lissing. Already, the showrunner Lindsay Sturman has said that Jack is not returning to the series. On Facebook, one Heartie wrote, “With last season’s finale where Henry visits Abigail. Nothing ever came of it this season.”

The comments were very angry. Viewers are not happy that the Hallmark writers are creating lame cliffhangers referring to actors that are no longer in the series. Here are what they had to say.

  • Omg, what an ending, I almost turned it off thinking it was over, yikes!!!
  • Jack’s dead. He already appeared as a ghost to Abigail in When Hope Calls Christmas movie!
  • That what I was saying on another comment they did last season had everyone thinking Abigail coming back it never happened! I think they do that get people in up roar thinking Jack coming back and he won’t!
  • Wonderful final two episodes but the cliffhanger AWFUL.
  • …AND Ned specifically said to Henry he won’t say anything to anyone about Henry writing to Abigail.????
  • Did anyone else notice the “Abigails’s” sign on the cafe was changed to “Cafe”? Then this evening it looked like it’d been changed again.

Daniel Lissing left during Season 5. He wanted to explore other acting opportunities. As for Lori Loughlin, the College Admissions Scandal imploded her Hallmark career. Although Dan will be reunited with Erin Krakow for the upcoming Countdown To Christmas movie Santa Tell Me, Lori has not returned to Hallmark, and it does not appear she will be invited back anytime soon.
