Former Counting On star Jessa Seewald isn’t afraid to break her dad’s rules, even under his roof. If you’re a Duggar fan, you probably know all about Jim Bob’s strict rules for his family. For instance, they aren’t allowed to dance and the girls must wear modest skirts or dresses.
However, once they get married and move out of their parents’ home, the girls’ husbands get to make the rules. This is why you might have seen some of the Duggar girls ditching the long skirts or dresses for pants.
While some of the Duggars are living differently from how they were raised, they seem to do this when they’re not at their parents’ home. So, Jessa Seewald might wear jeans or sweatpants in her own home but not at her parents’ house.
But now, Jessa isn’t holding back and sticking to her dad’s rules anymore. She recently disrespected him while she was under his roof and shared a photo of it.

On Wednesday, Jessa Seewald shared a new video of her family’s ugly Christmas sweater party. In it, you can see how the family spent the holiday season.
While Jessa and Ben, along with their four kids, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern, were at her parents’ home, they took a family photo.
Surprisingly, in the family photo, Jessa is wearing pants. She’s paired black sweatpants with her nutcracker ugly Christmas sweater. The mom to four is smiling for the camera with her youngest daughter on her hip. The rest of her kids are all smiles as they pose for a festive picture in their “ugly” holiday gear.
All of the other women at the event are wearing skirts or dresses and following Jim Bob and Michelle’s rules.
Of course, Jessa Seewald is an adult and can make her own decisions. But it is shocking to see her ignoring her dad’s rules in his house, which she hasn’t done publicly before. She’s worn pants plenty of times at her own home or out in public, but her parents’ home is a big step, it seems.
