Julianne Hough Takes The Dancing With The Stars Stage
Julianne Hough is an American dancer, actress, and TV personality. After officially becoming a professional dancer for the hit competition series, Dancing With The Stars, Hough won 2 seasons. Also, she is well known for being the sister of fellow dancer, choreographer, singer, and actor Derek Hough.
Derek is not the only sibling of Julianne. Also sharing the Hough last name are Katherine, Sharee, and Marabeth. However, none of them are professional dancers like Derek and Julianne. The TV personality was previously married to Ice Hockey player, Brooks Laich from 2017 to 2022.
Additionally, after Julianne won two seasons, she left the show in 2009. Then, Hough returned to the popular competition series in 2014 as a judge. Furthermore, she held this title until 2017. With Tyra Banks’s departure, there was an opening for a host role. Thus, Hough is the new co-host for Dancing With The Stars.
Julianne Hough Discusses The Future Of Her Love Life
During the Real Matches are Back event in Los Angeles, Julianne Hough spoke to PEOPLE about her new approach to dating. The 36-year-old explained, “Honestly, I am just keeping my heart open and kind of just letting the seasons flow and I’m focusing on Dancing With The Stars. But my heart is open, I’m ready for it, but I’m not actively looking for anything.”
Furthermore, the dancer expressed that on her list of what’s important, dating is “definitely not at the top.” Despite it not being a top priority, she still would like to experience romance. However, working on herself is what’s most important to her right now.
Ryan Seacrest Had People Date Him For Fame
Back in August, Hough opened up about her relationship with the American Idol host, Ryan Secrest in an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast from Dax Shepard. The two first met when she appeared on his radio show. However, she was in a relationship with someone else, Chuck Wicks. Then, the two began their relationship in the summer of 2010.
One fear that the dancer had when dating the host was that people would think she was using him to get attention. This was because he already had a successful career and she was just starting to climb the ranks. The couple dated for three years, calling it quits in 2013. This is when she began her relationship with her ex-husband, Laich.
Furthermore, Hough explained, “The rug was swept up from underneath me, and I was just flying, and I was experiencing things that I didn’t even know existed. But then I had this insecurity that I was like, I don’t ever want anybody to think that I’m with him for this reason.”
Moreover, Hough revealed that Seacrest had problems with people “using him” so she set out to be sure he knew she was different. In addition, both she and Shepard remember Seacrest as being “a lovely guy.”
