Sharon Osbourne Rushed To Hospital While Filming In California

TV star Sharon Osbourne was rushed to hospital after a medical emergency happened while shooting on the set of a reality show in California. The Osbournes alum was filming for Discovery+’s paranormal reality show, Ghost Adventures when she fell sick and was transported to the Santa Paula Hospital in California. Sharon Osbourne’s Medical Emergency Isn’t Life-Threatening

Authorities responded to the medical call at the filming location (Glenn Tavern Inn) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, before the reality star was transferred to the nearby hospital for further treatment.

As reported by TMZ, additional details about her current health condition aren’t available at the moment. However, it has been confirmed that the medical emergency was not life-threatening.

Sharon Osbourne Underwent Chemo For Colon Cancer

However, this isn’t the first health scare for the 70-year-old. Sharon was previously diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002 during which she underwent chemotherapy to treat her condition. In an interview, she discussed the details of her fight against cancer.

“I was going through chemo, and I’d had a massive seizure,” she shared. The author also noted that at one point during her treatment, her blood pressure dropped and she was struggling to stay conscious. The TV personality was given a blood transfusion that didn’t work after which the doctors had to resort to electric shock treatment to stop her from talking.

After learning that she was in remission, the British-American author underwent a double mastectomy in 2012 to reduce her chances of getting cancer again.

Recently, in May 2022, Sharon tested positive for COVID. This was around the same time that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, and daughter Kelly Osbourne also contracted the virus. She previously tested positive for COVID in December 2020 following which, the TV star was briefly hospitalized.

Sharon Talks About Ozzy Osbourne’s Parkinson’s Diagnosis

Sharon isn’t just dealing with her own health struggles. She has also stood as a rock by her musician husband. The Black Sabbath lead vocalist announced in January 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Discussing her emotional journey after her husband’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, she said, “There are so many different types of Parkinson’s. It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.”

In September, the family (minus Aimee) announced a BBC reality series titled Home To Roost with 10 episodes. This reality show was to document the family’s journey back to the UK from the US. However, Ozzy later revealed that he doesn’t want to move back to the UK anymore.
