Sukanya Krishnan took over hosting duties for Sister Wives: One on One. This was the first “tell-all” since Season 13 so it’s been three seasons since a sit down with the Browns. Obviously, a lot has transpired since 2019. The biggest change has been Kody Brown’s third wife, Christine leaving the family. As Sukanya answered as many questions as she could, part three really tested the father of eighteen. So much so, he began to snap and it was quite evident.
Sister Wives Tackle Tough Issues
This Sister Wives tell-all has admittedly been harder than most. Usually, it is about moving or a business or a new baby. This time around, there was a lot to unpack with Christine throwing Kody out of her bedroom. She followed it up by moving his stuff out of the home and putting it in the basement. By the time Season 16 had actually begun, the couple had released individual statements sharing they had separated. Viewers saw Christine living her best life on social media and were curious how the whole family was handling this shift.
As revealed in the tell-all, Meri and Kody have not been intimate in about a decade. He has no plans on ever having anything more than a friendship with her. Yet she has no plans on ever leaving the family and is hopeful they can reconnect one day. Kody is also struggling in his relationship with two of his sons, Garrison and Gabe while Robyn called his marriage to Christine a waste.
He and Janelle really are not in love with one another though they have a love for each other. It is more of a really good friendship. Finally, Kody is still unpacking his feelings now that Christine has left, especially after watching footage of her making this decision. Somehow, it was the topic of Christine that really grinds his gears because he got a little too heated toward Sukanya at one point.
Kody Loses His Cool
Sister Wives fans have seen Kody lose his cool many times. He especially has not been all that chill during all the parts of the current tell-all. In the final segment, his divorce from Christine was heavily addressed. She shared what made her finally put her foot down and he talked about anger and grief. He admitted he is experiencing a lot of grief right now to hide the anger that is within him. Yet, he claims he had been told by the kids and wives Christine was planning on leaving for some time. This was where the real betrayal came in.
Host Sukanya Krishnan and Kody watched the video of Christine confessing how hard it was to let the marriage go. He had not seen her side yet. However, he felt there were some fallacies in her retelling of the no more intimate marriage conversation. He was tired of defending himself. Finally, he looked at Sukanya and disrespectfully called her “Suki.” None of the four wives had done that nor had it been established that she had a nickname.
He then stared at her and asked that they no longer talk about Christine. It appeared they took a break in between shots because she returned to the interview. He apologized, admitted he was angry but not at her. Sukanya claimed she got it and, of course, she is a professional. If she has seen the show before, she knows his persona.
