Former Designated Survivor star Kiefer Sutherland is heading again to the Oval Workplace. He’s been tapped to play President Franklin D. Roosevelt on Showtime’s upcoming anthology collection The First Girl (working title), starring Viola Davis — who additionally government produces — Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson. Cathy Schulman serves as showrunner. Susanne Bier (The Undoing) will direct and government produce.

Created by Aaron Cooley and produced by Lionsgate TV and Showtime, The First Girl is a revelatory reframing of American management, advised via the lens of the ladies on the coronary heart of the White Home.
