The View fans were hysterical after a mishap that happened during the live show on Thursday. The hosts were introducing a rather serious segment, featuring a clip from President Joe Biden. However, something happened behind the scenes that made the wrong clip play. Following the mistake, tensions were high on the show. Keep reading to see what happened.
Whoopi Laughs Off Technical Difficulties
As mentioned above, yet another mistake was made during Thursday’s show, but it wasn’t any fault of Whoopi’s. When the hosts of the daily talk show began to shift into the next segment, which focused on Tuesday’s voting outcome, the wrong clip played.

Where President Biden should have been standing and making remarks about the elections was a clip from The English, a series on Amazon Prime. Whoopi laughed it off and said, “I think that was him.”
The audience was able to laugh along with Whoopi, but tensions ran quite high during Thursday’s taping. It seemed that she and her co-host, Joy Behar, were at each other’s throats. Whoopi was called out for not participating in the show and the pair snapped at one another.
Is Whoopi Goldberg Checked Out On The View?
Joy Behar isn’t the only one who has called Whoopi Goldberg out for seeming bored or “checked out” during the show. It seems that, during lighter moments, Whoopi simply looks uninterested and fans have been calling her out for some time.
Last month, The View moderator was put on the spot for not having anything to add to a discussion. She admitted she had nothing to say on the topic and appeared to be completely checked out.
Thursday’s episode was dedicated to Whoopi because Sunday is her 67th birthday and The View star is off from the show on Fridays.
This is what really got under Joy’s skin. She insisted that Whoopi at least pretend to be interested in what was going on. Although Whoopi is often very involved in conversations on the program, there are moments when she obviously checks out. The other hosts were all discussing sex and marriage. While Joy, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sunny Hostin were all discussing the topic at hand, Whoopi had her head on her shoulder.

From certain angles, it looked as if she was staring directly into the camera and bored out of her mind. Joy had enough of it though and slapped her hand on the shared desk saying, “Whoopi, stop that! Whoopi? Pay attention! It’s your birthday, be nice.”
The other hosts seemed unbothered though and Alyssa Farah Griffin even stood up for Whoopi, telling Joy she can’t do this to her on her birthday. Sara agreed and said it felt like Joy was trying to punish her. Whoopi exclaimed, “You are!”
