On Reddit, one fan questioned whether Kim is a narcissist. Many fans online use this term to describe her, but this fan wanted to know for sure whether it fits her. They specifically wanted more examples of Kim being a narcissist.
WebMD describes a narcissist as someone with “extreme self-involvement to the degree that it makes a person ignore the needs of those around them.”
Reddit users flooded the comments section of the post with examples of Kim’s behaviors on Welcome to Plathville.
One fan wrote, “I think a recent example is when Ethan told her that his education was lacking (thanks to her) and she responded with a flippant remark about ‘oh but you do know a big word’ or something.”
Someone else added, “There was a scene in one of the episodes where Kim is talking to a family friend while Ethan and Olivia are at the house. The gist of the conversation is that they hope Ethan comes to his senses and realizes he needs his mother. Kim takes no responsibility for her part in the estrangement.”
