So far, it hasn’t been announced whether it will be canceled or renewed. So, fans will have to wait a little bit longer for official confirmation from TLC.
There is certainly enough content for another season, including Kim Plath’s recent DUI arrest, Olivia and Ethan’s relationship, Barry’s newly single life, and more.
One family member, Lydia Plath, happened to share a sneak peek last month, as TV Shows Ace reported. She didn’t share too many details though and likely wasn’t allowed to make any official announcements. Now, she’s back with another look behind the scenes.
Welcome To Plathville Season 5 Filming Officially Confirmed?
On Reddit, a Plath fan posted a screenshot from Lydia Plath’s Instagram Stories. This photo is from her Instagram subscription, which is a new feature, so fans have to pay to see her posts. She didn’t share the photo with everyone, just her paid subscribers. One of her subscribers decided to share the snap on Reddit so more people could see what’s going on and get a peek behind the scenes.
The video Lydia shared was taken outside. It looks like a member of the TLC film crew is on the left-hand side, while Kim Plath is standing to the right. Lydia captioned her post, “I couldn’t be more thrilled with some things that have taken place so far this season!!!”
She added that she wouldn’t share any spoilers about Welcome to Plathville Season 5.
At this point, since TLC hasn’t confirmed that Welcome to Plathville Season 5 is happening, no one knows for sure whether it will. But the fact that the family is filming is a good sign for those fans who want to see more of the Plaths’ story. Maybe an official renewal is right around the corner.
