Netflix’s Live-Action One Piece Season 2: Cast, Trailers, and Everything Else to Know

The Straw Hats are back, and they’re about to become a bigger swashbuckling crew as they sail into the Grand Line. Monkey D. Luffy’s (Iñaki Godoy) quest to become the King of the Pirates continues in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. Season 2 is aptly titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line.

Filming for the second season began in 2024. The first installment based on Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga featured Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Season 1 adapted most of the manga’s East Blue Saga up to the Arlong Park arc, which can only mean one thing: Loguetown is next!

On Feb. 10, Netflix shared a letter from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda teasing what to expect in Season 2. “All the conventions that were established in Season 1 will be shattered,” Oda writes. “A parade of Devil Fruit users, a race of giants never before seen, adorable creatures, hard-hitting action, and stunning VFX — this season is packed with even more highlights!”

Here’s everything we know so far about Netflix’s One Piece Season 2.

Netflix’s One Piece latest news

On March 2, Netflix unveiled the final trailer for One Piece Season 2. It’s almost time to return aboard the Going Merry for an adventure with the Straw Hats. You can find the video in the trailers section below.

When is Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 coming out?

Straw Hats, mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 10. All eight episodes of Season 2 are scheduled to drop that day.

Production on Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 started in July 2024 and wrapped in February 2025. Netflix marked the occasion with a sneak peek video.

Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 teasers and trailers

The final trailer for Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 is here, and it teases the epic fight between Zoro and Baroque Works agents that anime and manga fans know all too well. “There are a hundred of us,” Daniel Lasker’s Mr. 9 says at the trailer’s opening, “and only one of you.” In the original story, Whiskey Peak is the first time Zoro wields his three new swords. And now we’re anticipating a similar level of domination from the swordsman in the live action series.

The first official One Piece Season 2 trailer dropped on Feb. 10, and it’s a spectacle. “We put together an amazing crew, made it to the Grand Line, and now we’re one step closer to our dreams,” Monkey D. Luffy, the leader of the Straw Hats, says at the beginning of the video. “So let’s celebrate!” Of course, the celebrations can’t last long because the Grand Line comes with characters more dangerous than anyone we’ve seen in Season 1. The trailer also gives an extended look at the beloved reindeer-boy doctor Tony Tony Chopper.

A new teaser for Season 2 was released on Jan. 12, and it heavily features Baroque Works, a dangerous organization of assassins. The footage gives viewers a closer look at Charithra Chandran’s Miss Wednesday, Lera Abova’s Miss All-Sunday, David Dastmalchian’s Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson’s Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn’s Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker’s Mr. 9, and Sophia Anne Caruso’s Miss Goldenweek. The teaser also shows The Unluckies, the duo consisting of the otter Mr. 13 and the vulture Miss Friday.

Netflix previously dropped a first look video for One Piece Season 2 in August 2025. The teaser gives a glimpse of the Straw Hats’ upcoming adventures, and also introduces some of the highly anticipated characters new to the live-action series. Chandran’s Miss Wednesday and Callum Kerr’s Smoker both make an appearance in the first look video.

Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 cast

Tony Tony Chopper has entered the chat. At Tudum 2025: The Live Event, Netflix presented a first look of the reindeer-boy hybrid who One Piece manga fans know is an indispensable member of the Straw Hats. The streamer also announced that Mikaela Hoover is going to be voicing Chopper, in addition to performing facial capture for the doctor. See below for an introduction to the character.

In January 2025, the streamer introduced three “masters of chaos” joining Season 2. They are Miss Goldenweek, played by Sophia Anne Caruso; Chess, played by Mark Penwill; and K.M, played by Anton David Jephtha. The streamer also announced that Rigo Sanchez is set to play Dragon, Yonda Thomas will play Igaram, and James Hiroyuki Liao will play Ipponmatsu.

At Geeked Week Live 2024, Netflix announced two more cast members: Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, also known as Crocodile, and Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, also known as Nico Robin.

Bridgerton‘s Charithra Chandran is joining Netflix’s One Piece as Miss Wednesday. The streamer announced her casting in August 2024. Many are familiar with Chandran from her performance as Edwina Sharma in Bridgerton Season 2. Now, she’s taking on the role of the Baroque Works assassin.
