The Premise: Cancelled; No Season Two for BJ Novak’s FX on Hulu Series

Cancelled

The Premise is not returning for a second season. The FX on Hulu anthology series, created by BJ Novak (The Office), debuted in September 2021. It’s now been cancelled after five episodes, per TV Line.

Ayo Edebiri, Beau Bridges, Ben Platt, Boyd Holbrook, Daniel Dae Kim, Ed Asner, Eric Lange, George Wallace, Jermaine Fowler, Jon Bernthal, Kaitlyn Dever, Lola Kirke, Lucas Hedges, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Soko, and Tracee Ellis Ross appeared during the run of the series.

The anthology series tackles the issues of the day using drama and comedy. The series was described as a “daring and ambitious series about individuals facing timeless moral questions in unprecedented times.”

The first episode revolves around a self-declared “woke” white nerd (Platt) who discovers that the evidence that can prove that police committed an act of brutality was captured in the background of a very embarrassing homemade sex tape featuring himself.
