Spooky season is officially upon us, and one of the early Halloween gifts will be the return of Haunted Hotel. Today, Netflix has dropped the brand new trailer, key art, and first-look images for Season 2 of the hit adult animated comedy, Haunted Hotel.
As we previously reported, the Matt Roller-created series is set to return globally on October 9, serving up another round of hilarious haunts, monstrous mishaps, and supernatural shenanigans.
If you thought Season 1 was wild, the first look at Season 2 proves that the Freeling family’s problems are only just beginning as the Undervale Hotel finally starts to become a “real business.”
What to Expect from ‘Haunted Hotel’ Season 2
The freshly dropped trailer instantly throws us back into the chaos. Katherine (voiced by Eliza Coupe) is trying her absolute best to run the Undervale as a legitimate establishment—and “not just a building where dead people terrorize living people.”
The trailer treats us to a fast-paced montage of supernatural chaos, including the immortal demon trapped in a 1700s boy’s body (voiced by Jimmi Simpson) complimenting a shadow monster trying to kill them, insisting, “I’m a huge fan of your work… I want him to like me!” Later, he happily discovers a fork that “likes” him by sticking it right into his forehead. We also see plenty of new monsters with the family going toe-to-toe with a slew of bizarre new creatures, including an enormous snake, witches, a giant shark named Beluga, and even Esther seemingly transforming into a terrifying aquatic monster (who casually greets Katherine with a “Hey Mom!”).
We also see the family hire a brand-new (and very much living) employee who is about to get a crash course in dealing with the undead.
Alongside the trailer, Netflix also dropped the official Season 2 poster and several screengrabs highlighting the beautiful, kinetic animation style the show is known for.
The fresh batch of first-look images gives us a closer peek at the 8 new episodes. We see the family getting tied up in a witch’s cabin, dodging floorboards collapsing into the abyss, going head-to-head with a terrifying multi-jawed subterranean beast, and taking a very unfortunate boat ride with the giant shark, Beluga. We also get a glimpse of Katherine looking thoroughly unamused while surrounded by a bizarre assortment of floating ghosts and ghouls.

Haunted Hotel quickly became a fan favorite following its debut, earning a swift Season 2 renewal at Netflix after two weeks in the global top 10s, picking up 4.6M views. Created by Matt Roller (Rick and Morty), the series features an all-star comedic voice cast, including Will Forte (Nathan), Eliza Coupe (Katherine), Skyler Gisondo (Ben), Natalie Palamides (Esther), and Jimmi Simpson (Abaddon).
