Woo Do Hwan and Chae Soo Bin lead SBS’s upcoming romance thriller, Love Bait, which will land on Netflix sometime in May 2027. Filming is expected to begin in October 2026. Love Bait is an upcoming South Korean psychological romance-thriller written by Kim Yi Young, who previously wrote dramas such as Haechi, Dong Yi, and Netflix’s Celebrity. The series is an adaptation of the webnovel Flowers Are Bait by author Geon Eomul Nyeo. A director for the series has yet to be announced.
When is Love Bait coming to Netflix?
An official release date has not been set, but it has been confirmed that Love Bait will air on SBS sometime in May 2027. The confirmed time slot for the series is Wednesdays and Thursdays, which means it may premiere on the following dates:
- May 5
- May 12
- May 19
- May 26
Love Bait has also been reported to be released simultaneously on Netflix and will be available to stream the same day as the Korean broadcast.
The K-drama will have 12 episodes, each approximately 70 minutes long.

“A man born incapable of feeling love crosses paths with a woman who no longer believes in it. Who are the cast members of Love Bait?
The confirmed leads for the K-drama are Woo Do Hwan and Chae Soo Bin.
Woo Do Hwan will play Kwon Chae Woo. The actor will be most recognizable to Netflix subscribers for his role as Kim Geon U in both seasons of Bloodhounds, and he also starred in Mr. Plankton, The King: Eternal Monarch, and My Country: The New Age. Outside of Netflix, he is known for starring in K-dramas such as Made in Korea, Joseon Attorney: A Morality, Mad Dog, and Save Me.
The character Kwon Chae Woo has been given the following description:
“The second son of the prestigious Suguk Group, he possesses outstanding looks, academic background, and intelligence, but due to a congenital frontal lobe dysfunction, he has psychopathic tendencies. Woo Do-hwan takes on the challenge of portraying a psychopath. The drama is expected to intricately depict his transformation as he changes after meeting So Yi-yeon and falls in true love.”

Chae Soo Bin will play So Yi Yeon. The actress has starred in only two Netflix Originals to date, The Fabulous and When the Phone Rings, but her third Netflix series, Take Charge of My Heart, will be released later this year. She is best known for starring in dramas such as Rookie Cops, A Piece of Your Mind, and I’m Not a Robot. She has also played lead roles in the Korean films Hijack 1971, The Pirates 2: The Last Royal Treasure, and SORI: Voice From the Heart.
The character So Yi Yeon has been given the following description:
“Having grown up lonely amidst discrimination and cold treatment from her family and the world since childhood, she lost faith in love and people and distanced herself from others; however, she becomes confused as she witnesses Kwon Chae-woori’s pure and intense obsession transform into the emotion of love.”
