Netflix’s first-ever Greek Original title will return for two additional seasons in 2024, and both will hit the service this year.

Season 1 of the musical drama first aired in Greece back in late 2022 before Netflix acquired the first nine episodes that make up season 1 and released them on March 17th, 2023. Netflix carries the show in its original Greek audio language but also provides numerous dubs, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Following the release of the first season on Netflix, it featured in the global top 10s for two weeks, picking up 20.56 million viewing hours. The show featured in the TV top 10s in 53 countries according to FlixPatrol, with the show doing best in countries like Greece (featured in the top 10s for 97 days), Cyprus (42 days), Malta (15 days), Israel (14 days), Serbia (13 days), Romania (12 days), and Turkey (12 days).

Further data from the Netflix Engagement Report covering January through June suggests the show was watched globally for 41.10 million viewing hours. Naturally, as the only show from Greece currently on Netflix, it remains the country’s most-watched Original title to date.

Seasons 2 and 3 of Maestro in Blue are coming to Netflix in 2024

As first reported by in.gr (and later confirmed by Deadline), Maestro in Blue is coming back for a second season. According to that initial report, six episodes will air in May 2024 in Greece, and the final four episodes will be released in September.

A new report, however, suggests those episodes will be labeled seasons 2 and 3. It also confirms that Netflix will be releasing season 2 day-and-date with its Greece release on May 16th, 2024. Season 3, consisting of the final four episodes that’ll conclude the show, will be released on MegaTV and Netflix in the Fall of 2024.

Christoforos Papakaliatis returns to write, direct, and star in the series alongside Haris Alexiou, Maria Kavogianni, Fanis Mouratidis, Marissa Triantafyllidou, Antinoos Albanis, and Stefania Goulioti.
