Millie Bobby Brown’s reign at Netflix continues. Following the massive success of Damsel, Enola Holmes, and ahead of the highly anticipated final season of Stranger Things, the superstar is trading the Upside Down for a futuristic meet-cute in the new romantic comedy Just Picture It. As part of a new teaser for upcoming young adult projects, we just got a few frames of the new film, which is now confirmed for a 2027 release.
As we’ve previously covered, Just Picture It marks another major collaboration between Netflix and Brown’s PCMA Productions banner, this time teaming up with Roth Kirschenbaum Films.
While we still have a bit of a wait until the film hits our screens, Netflix has finally given us a taste of what to expect. Here is a breakdown of the new teaser images and everything we know about the movie so far.
First Looks at Just Picture It
The newly released stills offer our first glimpse of the college-set relationship comedy, highlighting a warm, party-centric atmosphere.
In the new images, we see Millie Bobby Brown’s character letting loose at a dive bar or party, sporting a red dress and a straw cowboy hat. Another still shows a close-up of Brown flashing a warm, knowing smile amidst a dimly lit room with party balloons in the background. We also get our first look at her co-star, Gabriel LaBelle (The Fabelmans) in the bottom frame smiling across a crowded room.
What is Just Picture It about?
The premise sounds like a perfect blend of a classic romantic comedy mixed with a light, modern sci-fi twist. Here is the official logline for the film:
“Two care-free college students are surprised when their phones glitch and start showing them pictures from 10 years in the future featuring them as a happily married couple with kids. The real glitch? They have yet to meet each other.”
Who is behind Just Picture It?
The film is directed by Lee Toland Krieger, who is certainly no stranger to Netflix or the romance genre, having previously helmed The Age of Adaline and directed episodes of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone and You. The script comes from writer Jesse Lasky.
Behind the camera, the movie features some major Stranger Things alumni, including cinematographer Tim Ives and costume designer Amy Parris. David Lanzenberg also serves as cinematographer, with production design by Jordan Ferrer.
The movie is produced by Millie Bobby Brown and Robert Brown for PCMA Productions, alongside Joe Roth and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum Films. Executive producers include Alyssa Altman, Jake Bongiovi, David Kern, and Isobel Roberts.

Filming for Just Picture It officially took place in the fall of last year. Cameras rolled in Georgia (specifically Atlanta, Decatur, and Norcross) between September 8th, 2025, and October 28th, 2025.
