Alongside several new and exciting anime scheduled to be released on Netflix in April, we recently discovered that the Isekai anime series Overlord will be coming to the streaming service in April 2024.
Overlord is a Japanese anime series and the adaptation of Kugane Maruyama’s light novel of the same name and the art illustrated by Hugin Miyama in Satoshi Ōshio’s manga adaptation.
Madhouse animated the series, which Crunchyroll distributed worldwide. Overlord ran from July 2015 to September 2022, with four seasons and 52 episodes.
When is Overlord coming to Netflix?
On the coming soon page of the Netflix app, Overlord is listed as coming to Netflix on April 15th, 2024.
The number of seasons arriving on Netflix has not been specified. We could see anywhere up to all four seasons being added in April.
What is the plot of Overlord?
In the dystopian future of 2126, officer worker Momonga logs into the world’s most popular video game for the last time before it shuts down forever. When the clock strikes midnight, he is transported to a new world where all the NPCs have gained sentience instead of being logged out and ejected from the game.
