Netflix and Spin Master have officially announced the return of the hit animated fantasy series Unicorn Academy. The next chapter, titled Unicorn Academy: Secrets Revealed – Flying Free, will premiere its first four episodes globally on October 8, with an additional four episodes already slated for a Spring 2027 release.

When is Unicorn Academy: Secrets Revealed Chapter 2 coming to Netflix?
The wait is almost over! Spin Master has announced that the next chapter of Unicorn Academy: Secrets Revealed—officially titled Flying Free—will debut globally on Netflix on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
The release will be split into two waves. Fans will get the first four 22-minute episodes on October 8th, while episodes 5 through 8 have already been renewed and slated for a Spring 2027 release.
What to Expect in Chapter 2: Flying Free
By now, Sophia and her friends are not only adjusted to life on Unicorn Island, but they are stepping directly into the main conflict with the villainous Ravenzella. In their sophomore year at the school, they have already become heroes in their own right, far from the reluctant group they were just one in-universe year prior.
The last time we reunited with these teens was earlier this year during the first chapter release of Secrets Revealed, where major changes and secrets came bubbling to the surface. Now, fans are finally able to see what comes next.
The official synopsis teases a massive scope for the upcoming episodes:
The stars are shining over Unicorn Island! The Academy throws a masquerade ball in honor of the rare Fairy Moon. And Sophia and Wildstar embark on a magical quest to find the shooting stars of the Unicorn Constellation, in hopes that Sophia can bring back her father. But not all the Sapphires are on board with the mission, and there’s a mysterious stranger stalking the island, trying to get to the stars first.
Spin Master also teases that natural disasters are threatening to strip all unicorns of their magic forever. To save magic, the Sapphires must rescue Skywind, a legendary winged unicorn.
Along the way, they will team up with an unlikely Grimorian ally named Zaya (who walks the delicate line between friend and foe) and discover a shocking truth: the Academy’s history is a lie, born from a founder’s betrayal that originally created grim magic. When Ravenzella steals Skywind to exploit this power, the heroes and Zaya must unite to defeat her, heal Skywind, and permanently restore the island’s magic.
