Elizabeth, who competed on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor earlier this year, announced this past weekend, in honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June, that she is bisexual and “always [has] been.”

The 33-year-old real estate advisor from Highlands Ranch, CO, posted a slideshow of photos of herself in a rainbow crop top and jeans in New York City and captioned it, “It’s hard to know the right way to say these things, or the right time. Today seems like both and neither.”

“Waking up this morning to my first Pride in NYC I was so excited. I sprung out of bed, went to get a coffee — bought a flag — and quickly began feeling anxious. Overwhelmingly so. Am I ready? No. Am I scared? Yes,” she continued.

“Will ‘the right time’ come? Qualify it. It’s important to me today to share with you all that I am queer. More specifically I am, always have been, and always will be — bisexual.”

Elizabeth said if people know her personally, then this won’t be news to them.

“Every time I tell someone new this information, I experience fear. Fear that it will end a business transaction, fear that I will make someone uncomfortable, fear that I would be ostracized from my family… Etc etc etc,” Elizabeth wrote.

“What’s more important to me at the end of the day — is to be me. Authentic. Genuine. Raw. So maybe one person will feel less alone. If you’re that one. I’ve got you. I’m here — I’ll answer.”

Elizabeth concluded her post by writing, “You are NOT alone. Hoping that one day the fear will turn to what it should be… PRIDE. Only love. All love. Today and each day to come. Moments matter. #nyc #newyorkcity #bachelornation #bachelorabc #pride #queer.”

The Bachelor alum Tahzjuan Hawkins commented, “I love you! So proud,” and The Bachelor alum Cassidy Timbrooks wrote, “Love you so much you brave, gorgeous girl!”

The Bachelor alum Leah Block also gushed about her love for Elizabeth, adding clapping-hands emojis.

Elizabeth proceeded to thank Olivia specifically in a Monday Instagram post.

“A quick shout out to this incredible human who has held space for me since the moment I arrived in New York,” Elizabeth wrote alongside a photo of the girls. “Your support, encouragement and friendship has been a light in my life and I am so lucky to have you as an ally and a friend. Love you, Liv.”

Elizabeth, whom Clayton eliminated during the third Rose Ceremony of The Bachelor’s 26th season after a lengthy feud with Shanae Ankney, has come a long way since feeling tormented, attacked, bullied, and physically abused while competing for Clayton’s heart.

Clayton even publicly apologized to Elizabeth earlier this year for denying her a rose and not believing her side of the story with Shanae, who got caught lying about some of the women and manipulating Clayton during filming.

Elizabeth was also an advocate for people battling ADHD during and after her stint on The Bachelor, which wrapped in March.
