The Bachelor premiered in 2002, and its most recent season — the show’s 25th edition, starring Matt James – aired on ABC earlier this year and ended with Matt picking, but not engaged to, Rachael Kirkconnell.
The Bachelorette premiered in 2003 with Trista Rehn as the star, and Season 17 wrapped up on ABC in August and ended with Katie Thurston getting engaged to Blake Moynes – however the couple split up only a couple of months later!
