‘The Bachelor’ star Joey Graziadei reveals if he knew Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson met up before Final Rose Ceremony

The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei has revealed if he was aware Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson had seen each other and compared notes right before the Final Rose Ceremony in Mexico.

On The Bachelor’s Season 28 finale that aired Monday night on ABC, Daisy sought out Kelsey to talk ahead of Joey’s Final Rose Ceremony when typically the Final 2 women are totally separated.

Daisy admitted to Kelsey that something felt “off” and seemed to be “missing” with Joey during their last date, and so she gave the impression that Kelsey was going to be Joey’s winner.

The two women then traveled to the Final Rose Ceremony in the same van, which was another first for The Bachelor franchise.

“That was the craziest thing for me!” Joey told Joe Amabile on the March 26 episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.

“[Kelsey] told me after, when we were leaving [the Final Rose Ceremony], she was like, ‘Do you know me and Daisy rode in the car together?’ And I was like, ‘What?! That’s not a thing!'”

Kelsey also shared of Joey, “He didn’t know that we talked beforehand. He didn’t know any of that.”

“Yeah,” Joey confirmed. “So all of that was a surprise for me to finally see, too, and for her to tell me about.”

On The Bachelor finale, Daisy admitted she wasn’t feeling happy or excited on the morning of the Final Rose Ceremony because she believed Joey had been preparing her for a letdown rather than an engagement during their final date in Tulum.

Joey, for example, had recalled being in Daisy’s shoes, saying how his time on The Bachelorette ended with him being “blindsided” and hurt.

“I was like, ‘Oh, it’s not me,'” Daisy shared with the cameras. “Love shouldn’t feel like it hurts this much. I know what I need to do. As hard as it is right now, I know it will be the best thing for me.”

Daisy then knocked on Kelsey’s hotel door, and Daisy politely and carefully asked Kelsey to share how her week with Joey had gone.

Kelsey said she was feeling really good and that Joey had given her the validation she needed during the evening portion of their final date. Daisy, on the other hand, admitted that Joey hadn’t given her any reassurance or confirmation that she was his person.

Daisy essentially informed Kelsey that Joey was going to pick her, and the friends rode in the same van to the Final Rose Ceremony.

Daisy, knowing her The Bachelor fate, walked up to Joey and said, “Falling in love with you has been so fun and I do love you. But the thing is, you’re not going to choose me.”

Joey immediately broke down into tears, confirming that Daisy’s gut instinct was correct.

“I know that you know I’m not your person,” Daisy said. “And as much as that hurts, umm, I know you said you want what’s best for me, and so I’m going to do what’s best for me — and I’m going to go.”

Once Daisy left in tears, Kelsey approached Joey at the Final Rose Ceremony.

“I love you,” Joey gushed to his The Bachelor winner.

“There is something about you. You have this infectious energy that makes me smile. It’s a feeling I’ve never had before. I know during this time that we’ve built a very strong flame, and the only reason I know why that flame will never go out is because you’re my light.”

Joey said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kelsey, and then the pair got engaged.

On the live After the Final Rose special, Joey shared how he never expected the Final Rose Ceremony to go that way but it was “special” to watch how Daisy and Kelsey had supported and empowered each other right before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Joey said he appreciated Daisy’s understanding and how she led with respect and love — to both Kelsey and himself — on that final day of filming.
