‘The Bachelorette’ preview teases “unhinged” bachelor and “unsettling” season for Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia

The Bachelorette stars Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia apparently team up and deal with an “unhinged” bachelor during Season 19.

A sneak peek of the new The Bachelorette season premiering Monday, July 11 was released by ABC, and Gabby begins the trailer by saying, “I just can’t believe this is my life right now.”

Rachel also says, “I think Gabby and I will get our happy ending.”

But the teaser preview quickly takes a different turn, as Rachel approaches Gabby about a man with questionable intentions, one of their 32 nineteenth-season suitors.

“I just got some information,” Rachel tells Gabby in a private chat. “It’s really unsettling.”

Gabby drops her jaw and complains, “He’s unhinged.”

After Rachel is shown crying, she and her co-Bachelorette yell over each other in audio seemingly spliced together.

“Why are you here?” Gabby asks.

“Then leave!” Rachel shouts.

An onscreen graphic proceeds to read, “TWO much drama,” as one suitor comments on the season’s serious “controversy” and then another bachelor admits, “I’m ready to fight.”

“What even happened?!” questions another man.

Gabby concludes the trailer and laments, “I don’t want to give my heart to someone just to have it broken.”

The Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer wouldn’t confirm or deny whether Gabby and Rachel fell for the same guy while filming their season, but he did tell E! News that the dual leads had some “unexpected” challenges to overcome.

“It’s not them competing for something,” Jesse noted to the website, “but there were some raw, serious and honest conversations that had to take place.”

When announcing the women’s suitors in a live TikTok event earlier this month, Jesse insisted this The Bachelorette season will be “unlike anything” viewers have “ever seen before,” adding how Gabby and Rachel encountered circumstances “unlike anything” viewers have ever witnessed.

One thing Bachelor Nation and fans have seemed concerned about is whether Gabby and Rachel will be pitted against each other and essentially fight for the same guy or guys.

Given Gabby and Rachel had been strung along and brutally rejected — in a group dumping session — by Season 26 The Bachelor star Clayton Echard, it seems the majority of The Bachelor franchise viewers want to see the women supporting and helping each other, rather than being in a competitive atmosphere once again.

The Bachelor creator and executive producer Mike Fleiss previously insisted it’s “not true” that Gabby and Rachel were at odds.

Fleiss also tweeted in April, “No drama…Just two friends helping each other find true love!”

ABC featured two Bachelorettes in one season only once before, but Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson were forced to face off against each other for a solo The Bachelorette role on Night 1 of the show back when Season 11 aired in 2016.

After only several hours of getting to know Kaitlyn and Britt, the men voted for the woman they’d like to continue dating, and Kaitlyn ended up starring on the season with more votes.

Britt, who had already competed against Kaitlyn for Chris Soules’ heart on The Bachelor’s nineteenth edition, was then sent home immediately.
