Chicago Med star Sarah Ramos is expecting.
And absolutely no one was expecting the news when she announced it on social media, though she seemed relieved to finally be able to share it with the world.
Hiding a pregnancy on-screen can definitely be difficult, but Ramos succeeded.
Alongside several photos showing her bump while celebrating with loved ones, the actress who plays Caitlin Lennox wrote, “Surprise! If you’re not surprised I’m pregnant, act like it! I have no good photos with the father of my child lol just a ton with the shower guests of honor: @thelabellefoundation puppies available for adoption!

The Parenthood alum was showered with praise from loved ones, fans and co-stars, as Steven Weber, who plays Dr. Archer wrote, “WHOOP,” the NBCOneChicago account added, “Congratulations!! 
” while S. Epatha Merkerson, who stars as Sharon Goodwin, noted, “Look at you! Sarah you look fabulous! 
.”
Ramos’ on-screen love interest, Luke Mitchell, who plays Mitch Ripley, nailed the surprise reaction, writing, “OMG!! Congratulations Sarah!! 
.”
Even Chicago PD’s Tracy Spiridakos chimed in, stating, “Congratulations!!”
While it doesn’t seem like her real-life pregnancy will be written into the show, it might be the only thing to help course-correct Lennox’s reckless and impulsive behavior ever since finding out that she has a terminal illness. That being said, we don’t need everyone in the ED pregnant at the same time.
Who Is Sarah Ramos’ Husband?
While he wasn’t pictured in the celebratory slideshow, there was a hint with a cake that read “Baby Spice,” as Ramos is married to writer and producer Matt Spicer. The duo tied the knot on October 25, 2020, in a Vegas ceremony and are now expecting their first child together.
