Reenie’s trial against Prater and Rockwell comes to a head on Tracker Season 3 Episode 19, but not without a few bumps along the way.
When her key witness, who could bring the company down by blowing the lid off all their shady dealings, goes missing on “Chain of Custody,” she knows exactly who to call, and Colter arrives almost immediately to offer his assistance.
The night before his testimony, Curtis Lauper, a former employee, went missing, with all signs pointing to Prater and Rockwell being responsible for trying to silence her client.
Reenie and Maxine are convinced of it, and when they ask for the judge presiding over the case for a date extension, they accuse the counsel representing Prater and Rockwell of being behind the kidnapping.
Of course, baseless accusations aren’t welcomed by the judge, but Reenie and Maxine are almost convinced, especially after they’ve been stalked and followed since taking on the case and submitting new evidence to the judge.
But Colter finds a different truth when he begins his hunt for Curtis Lauper, starting with the dead body hidden in the basement storage unit.
As he continues to pull on the string, he learns that Curtis boosted a car from a nearby bar and crashed his vehicle to make it seem like an accident. It becomes clear that this guy isn’t who he says he is, and there’s much more to the story.
He also begins to think that this has nothing to do with Prater and Rockwell, but for Reenie, the main focus is simply on finding her client and finding out the truth.
Colter also learns that a dark SUV was following Curtis, which means that he’s on the run from someone. A quick scan of the license plates allows Colter to locate Colter and the hitman after him, and he arrives just in time as the hitman almost gets one up on Curtis. Reenie truly underestimated him simply because he was on an oxygen tank, but Curtis clearly has plenty of fight left in him, especially as it’s revealed that his stepdaughter, Jackie, was also kidnapped.
Curtis knows exactly who is responsible—Lo Parker, the leader of the Dixie Mafia. Curtis reveals he used to work as the muscle and enforcer for Lo, admitting to Colter and later Reenie that he’s not a good person who never truly deserved a second chance.

As for why Lo is suddenly after him now, Curtis tells them it’s about revenge for the death of Lo’s daughter years ago from an overdose. Lo blames Curtis for what happened, as he was tasked with keeping an eye on his daughter, though sadly, Curtis wasn’t able to prevent the choices she made that led to her death.
Curtis admits that following her death, he changed his name, taking on one of his late boyhood friends, and moved to a different town. Lo has always held a grudge; he simply wasn’t able to find him.
While the case may not directly connect to Prater and Rockwell, the timing isn’t a coincidence, as Curtis points out that Lo only found him because of the upcoming case.
Maxine begins to dig into this further, though it’s Mel Day who makes the connection that one of the attorneys for Prater and Rockwell has a longtime connection to Lo, so he sold him out and had Lo’s goons threaten Reenie.
Reenie and Maxine use this to their advantage, blackmailing him into a settlement (it’s incredibly satisfying—you do not want to mess with these two!); however, not before an action-packed rescue of Jackie.
Lo demands that Reenie bring him, Curtis, in exchange for Jackie, without involving the police, but he never planned to play fair, as he later reveals that his plan includes killing Jackie in front of Curtis to show him what it feels like to lose a child.
Curtis is prepared to die, noting that he’s already living on borrowed time with his illness, and it’s more important to get Jackie to safety.
And while he may have done bad things in the past, he’s likable, and Reenie simply sees a man who’s willing to do the right thing now, including with his decision to testify, which exposed him in the first place.
Thankfully, Reenie didn’t arrive at the exchange without backup—and Colter is more skilled than the police, flying under the radar until the last moment, where he shoots at Curtis’ oxygen tank to cause an explosion.
Reenie then jumps into the action, utilizing the moment of chaos to hit the gas and run over Lo’s muscle, before reversing and taking out another one standing behind her.
They’re able to bring Curtis and Jackie back home safely, while also winning the case and getting justice.
A huge win all around.
We also see Reenie and Colter reconnect, as she finally breaks through the walls she’s been putting up, admitting that her kidnapping last year forced her to lose control and power, scaring her back into the little girl who wanted to be seen.
She lost herself, but the case helped her regain her power, as Colter reminded her that she’s strong and can get through anything, surrounded by many who love her.
And we now know that no matter what, Reenie will never let any threats shake her or knock her down.
The episode didn’t provide any movement into Colter’s case, looking into his father’s death, likely pushing that to the back burner for the finale (three more episodes left), but it did wrap up Reenie’s season arc, while also allowing us to see them working together once again, which is always a nice treat.
