Snoop Dogg is headed to the VMAs — this time as host.
The rapper will preside over the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, airing live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. ET on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ Premium.
A 13-time VMA nominee and three-time winner, Snoop has a lengthy history with the awards show, dating back to his first performance in 1994. He most recently performed at the VMAs alongside Eminem in 2022.
This year’s ceremony marks the VMAs’ first West Coast broadcast since 2017. Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard Award, while performers, presenters, and additional guests will be announced in the coming days.

- CBS’ “Tracker” has promoted Cassady McClincy Zhang — who recurred in Season 3 as Reenie’s new hire Mel — to series regular for Season 4 (premiering Sunday, October 4; get scoop), Deadline reports.
- Jessica Gunning (“Baby Reindeer”) is set as one of four leads in Netflix’s “Feral,” based on the Shirley Conran novel of the same name. Per Deadline, the comedic thriller follows “four very different women [who] learn to survive on a lethal tropical island after their mining exec husbands are kidnapped. The question is, can they put aside their differences, their self-doubts and their vanities to stay alive?”
- Aaron Dominguez (“Only Murders in the Building”) has joined the cast of Starz’s upcoming “Power” prequel series “Power: Origins” in an undisclosed role, Deadline reports. The spin-off follows young Ghost (Spence Moore II), Tommy (Charlie Mann), and Kanan (Mekai Curtis) as they set out to make their mark on the streets of New York City.
- Molly Griggs (“The Residence”), Matthew Noszka (“All’s Fair”), and Tommy Martinez (“Good Trouble”) will lead Prime Video’s “Things We Never Got Over,” an adaptation of Lucy Score’s novel of the same name, Deadline reports. Griggs will play twin sisters Naomi and Tina Witt, while Noszka and Martinez will play brothers Knox and Nash Morgan, respectively.
