Best Medicine – Can’t Stop The Healing

The thing I have loved most about this season of Best Medicine is the fact that we are starting to get to know Martin on a deeper level, despite that quite often making there be more emotional moments in the episodes.

On the flip side of that, we get really funny moments with everyone else, and him, that balances the 45 minutes out perfectly. I also think it draws me in more to the characters because it isn’t all funny, and we get to see the depths of people.

As much as I loved Parker last episode, I am very glad that I now no longer like him as much. I think they did it in such a great way by having him be a loveable character when we first met him, so that it was such a shock when he made the comment about Martin being his old teacher.

It was nice to see him interact with Elaine though; that was a very funny scene. Especially when we later find out that she booked the job.

I have loved seeing the different relationships that Peter is having with everyone; it also goes to show that age in terms of friendship really is only a number. I think the relationship between Peter and Mark might be the best yet though.

This episode really made me wish that we could see Mark as a dad. He would be such a good one, and as much as I get the funniness of them being on the same emotional level, it actually shows that maybe sometimes things are just as simple as being honest.

I’m glad that Mark finally got out that he and Eden slept together, but it was so clear that Martin really didn’t care that much about it. Once again proving that his relationship with Eden didn’t mean that much to him.

I felt so much for Martin in this episode; it’s like everyone was telling him that he is doing something wrong, and no one was really on his side at all. Watching his face whilst Louisa was telling him the reasons that she liked Parker was so hard; he was processing that she liked the things about Parker that he isn’t. However, I am glad that we got to see Louisa break down after having to do that; it shows she still cares about Martin more than she probably ever will about Parker.

I’ve never liked Glendon, and to be honest, I still don’t like him, although I did like that the one person you would never expect for Martin to offer support to is the one he does offer it to. Plus, they actually joked with each other like they were really friends.

I am very intrigued to see how Martin is going to deal with Parker after the revelation from Louisa; it could go okay, but it could also turn very ugly. Hopefully, Parker isn’t the type to take revenge back on Martin. Plus, what happens when Parker inevitably finds out or sees something between Louisa and Martin?

There are lots of very juicy storyline, and those are the reasons this show is so good.
