The games have begun!
Friday’s episode of Big Brother: Unlocked officially kicked off the summer by turning on the 24/7 live feeds.
It’s only been a few hours since Big Brother Season 28 Episode 2, and already the house has a new Head of Household in Dee Valladares and new nominees. And, surprisingly, a new house target!

As reported by our TV Fanatics, the reality TV winner emerged to snatch the Head of Household title.
Dee, who won Survivor Season 45, came into the game as one of three casting twists. Fellow Survivor alum Rick Devens and Big Brother Season 26 veteran Angela Murray joined her.
Let’s forget about Dee’s rocky performance on Survivor Season 50!
She’s hit the ground running with her first HOH win, setting her up for a good start to the rest of the season.
Winning the first HOH isn’t seen as a curse anymore.
The first HOH gets the first opportunity to chat with everyone and set up all the power alliances. Plus, she’ll make the first big moves.

Who did Dee Nominate for Eviction on Big Brother?
Once the live feeds came back on, the house was buzzing with theories and tension.
As reported, Dee nominated Mallory, Taylor, and Yash for eviction.
Surprised? So are we!
The first HOH tends to keep blood off their hands and plays it safe. Dee chose to nominate one person from each of the HOH safety groups.
She wants her initial nominees to be fair and even.

Surprisingly, this runs counter to two of Dee’s main qualities.
The first being that Dee isn’t afraid to go after big targets.
Big, strong, hulking bros? Obvious groups? Dee has turned votes against those who stand in her way.
Let’s not forget she’s a Survivor winner.
You don’t win the final Survivor Tribal Council without plenty of cunning moves and blood on your hands. Maybe she learned from Survivor Season 50 to play it safer early on?

But the other quality is not making risky and messy moves.
The initial talk of the house was how Dee went back on her word against Taylor. Apparently, Dee promised not to nominate anyone from her safety group.
Taylor was in Dee’s group.
Taylor and Dee did some damage control to address the situation. But some of the house members are questioning Dee’s decision and knowledge of the game.
It’s a strange move to make that could’ve easily been avoided.

Should Dee Follow the House Vote?
Out of the three nominees, Mallory is the main target.
For an easy week, Dee should stick to that plan to a T.
Mallory has been in a fury since the reveal. Rightfully, she’s upset at being nominated.
She’s called Dee a “baby” in the storage room to Jason, and the other players are noticing her frustrations.

Those who agree with Mallory, like Jason, Lyric, & Melody, might side with her to keep her in.
Mallory’s trio with Lyric and Melody is noticeable, which is troubling this early on. Tight alliances and friendships are easy reasons to get nominated and evicted.
Her diary room confessional on Big Brother Season 28 Episode 1 seems to have come true: Lyric is her friend.
What’s working against saving her is the uncertainty of what happened before the 24/7 live feeds turned on.
What did Mallory do?
Most of the house is willing to follow the HOH’s plan. But if Mallory wins the Power of Veto or the BB Blockbuster, be prepared for her chaos and revenge.

Plus, anything could change, and the house could flip on Yash and Taylor.
Yash is in a better spot, as the house collectively agreed that he “took it well” after being nominated.
Taking the punches is a great way to convince the HOH that you’re not angry about their move.
And, surprisingly, Yash (or another strong guy) not being Dee’s main target is already a change of pace.
We could easily see her going back to target a guy, like Barrett or Kamu.
Taylor, on the other hand, needs to foster some relationships. Protection and alliances are key to avoiding being the safe target.

The House Dynamics Are Coming Together
If not the current nominees, then who could Dee target?
The POV competition typically happens on Fridays/Saturdays in the house, and the POV ceremony on Mondays. So, it’s a world of possibilities now.
It wouldn’t make sense for Dee to go after Angela or Rick.
Evicting one of the returning CBS reality TV stars only paints a bigger target on her back. The trio has an unofficial (and official) alliance, born of circumstances alone.
She needs them as a shield. They need her out of necessity too.

Why not the new forming showmance?
The flirtations between Lyric and Rome were on fire. The pair resisted temptation while cuddling up in the bunk bed.
And the house is noticing!
Big Brother fanatics know it’s only a matter of time before the first official showmance is made. Lyric and Rome seem to be that fateful couple.
A showmance can be very dangerous and proves strong results. Brendon and Rachel, Jeff and Jordan… need we go on?

Elsewhere, a new working group may be forming among Haley, Kamu, and Yash.
They’ve buddied up with Dee, but, more interestingly, they’re developing tensions with Lyric and Rome.
If they get Dee’s ear, could they flip the target onto the showmance? Or one of their friends, like Melody?
It’s only Week 1, and every relationship could completely change after the first eviction on Thursday. But the pieces are already moving.

Let’s keep the conversation going — it’s the only way the good stuff survives.
Should Dee still target Mallory, Taylor, or Yash? Or should she pivot to a new target?
Are you surprised by the first showmance of the season?
