Boston Blue keeps mentioning Jamie.
Every time I hear his name, I hope it’s a subtle clue that he will be coming to visit during Boston Blue Season 2.
Jamie was always my favorite Blue Bloods character, but there are lots of reasons for him to visit the spinoff beyond my personal preference.

Jamie’s Baby Was Adorable In Photos, But That Isn’t Enough
It seems weird that Danny has not visited his new nephew on-screen on Boston Blue.
The Reagans have always been about family, and that shines through when some of them visit Boston, yet something is missing.
It’s all one-sided because the New York Reagans’ dinner table and lives are all off-screen, so if Danny visits Jamie, Eddie, and the baby, it’s between episodes of his new series.
I get that it has to be that way because it’s too expensive to film in New York. However, I’m not satisfied with a relationship that only exists in my imagination.

In order to preserve that Blue Bloods feeling, Jamie needs to visit Danny in Boston, preferably with both Eddy and the baby, so that Danny can bond with his nephew properly.
Joe Hill managed a cameo appearance at the Silver family dinner, and it would be even more exciting if Jamie and his family did so as well on Boston Blue Season 2.
Jamie Doesn’t Just Have To Appear At Dinner, Though
While it would be fun for Jamie and family to make a surprise appearance at the dinner table, there is so much more potential for a Jamie appearance.
I’d love for Jamie to bond with the Silvers, especially Jonah.

Jonah’s determination to find his father’s killer reminded me of how Jamie searched for the truth after Joe died on Blue Bloods Season 1, but Jonah is far more hotheaded than Jamie ever was.
Jamie would be a great mentor for him, even if it were only for one episode, and Sean would likely have complicated feelings about that.
Sean is already irritated that Danny has so many opinions about his career, so he might be relieved that Jamie isn’t as hands-on with him — yet it could sting that Jamie focuses more on his partner than on Sean despite their relationship.
Plus, Sean could find himself in the middle if Jonah doesn’t like or actively resents Jamie’s advice.
That would make for a fun storyline!

Of Course, The Best Idea Would Be Case-Centric
I loved it when Henry visited because he was up to his old trick of getting involved in Danny’s case even though he’s supposed to be retired.
Jamie would need a stronger reason, of course, but a case that spans New York and Boston, as Baez had recently, would do nicely.
It was always fun when Jamie and Danny had to team up. They didn’t work well together at all, and I’d love more of that!
What about you? What do you think would be the best Jamie-centered story? Do you want Jamie to visit, or is there another Reagan you’d prefer to grace our screens for an episode?
