Criminal Minds Season 19 Episode 7 Sneak Peek Reminds Us of the Heartbreaking Reality for Women

- Advertisment -

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. That’s the saying, right?

Well, Criminal Minds Season 19 Episode 7 certainly promises to offer a look at how true that saying is.

It’s a saying that has always sat wrong with me, though, as it doesn’t quite highlight the reason women will feel like they’re forced to attack.

That reason comes up in the sneak peek for the latest episode of Criminal Minds, airing on Paramount+ on Thursday, July 2.

There’s usually something deep that has happened, something visceral that makes people lash out.

Yet, many are only willing to look at the actions.

I’ll leave you with the sneak peek for Criminal Minds Season 19 Episode 7 first, so you can get a sense of what I’m talking about.

Maria and Ruby are chatting about everything that has happened so far and everything that is still to come.

Ruby doesn’t think they “have to do this,” but we don’t get a full idea of what the “this” is.

What we do know is that they’ve killed at least one cop, and there is a reason for their actions.

Criminal Minds Delivers a Timely Case

Some cops did something to them, and it doesn’t take much to figure out what that likely was.

After all, we can see on the news what dirty cops are willing to do and how much they hide behind the blue line.

That’s what is sure to have led to these women being so angry — angry enough to lash out. They’re done with the cops protecting each other.

However, Maria doesn’t just want to disappear into the darkness. She doesn’t want to ride off into the sunset and hope that she gets away with it.

This is also about getting justice, but to get that, she needs evidence.

As she says, without the evidence, nobody will believe her. Both of them will be viewed as “crazy, psycho, man-hating, cop-killing b***hes.”

With the way she’s speaking, there must be video evidence of whatever the cops did to them, and they want that to go public.

Can we really blame them for wanting that? Isn’t it the best way to make it clear that too many cops — and too many men — are willing to protect each other?

It doesn’t matter if an individual woman knows the truth about what a group of men did to her, especially when they’ve broken and lashed out.

Justice means getting the evidence out into the world.

Criminal Minds spends a lot of time focusing on the violence that men do to women, because the sad truth is that women are more likely to be victims of traumatic acts.

In this episode, we see the flip side as women take matters into their own hands.

And these two women are ride-or-die partners as they seek justice.

One thing I’m ready to see is Carlena Britch and Cara Jade Myers shine as women with purpose (even if it is a little illegal) in this episode.
