The worst part about going undercover is the genuine fear of exposure at any point.
And that’s what Billy is currently dealing with on Criminal Record. His assignment dealing with Cosmo’s crew has been stressful in more ways than one.
But with his meds flushed down the loo and Kieran on his tail, the paranoia gets real on Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 4. TV Fanatic scored an exclusive sneak peek.

Things are getting more intense for Billy as the investigation heats up. He’s already located the knife that is at the center of June’s investigation into who killed young Rohaan at the protest.
But Hegarty is still eager to figure out what Cosmo has planned. He’s under the impression that Cosmo is planning a massive-scale terrorist attack of some sort, and that he’s rallying his followers to do it.
Billy has gotten a lot of attention, but he’s also too close to Cosmo in a way that seems to be raising some flags for some of Cosmo’s men.
And that includes the platinum-blond member who is often “babysitting” Billy, Kieran.
As we saw during Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 3, Cosmo flushed Billy’s medication, claiming that he doesn’t need them and that it’s some agenda to control him somehow.

And he also shared some things suggesting he’s letting Billy into his plan.
But he’s also stuck Billy in a hideout apartment since the news has broken that Billy escaped from prison.
He has to keep a low profile, but based on our clip, it’s starting to feel more and more like Billy’s in a new kind of prison.
But is there validity to his concerns, or is he running paranoid because he’s currently off of his meds?
It’s hard to say, but from this clip, Billy is terrified about what could be in store for him. He’s already getting squirrely about this plan.

But Hegarty isn’t willing to let go of this investigation or his best asset.
He’ll tell him whatever he needs to calm Billy down, ensure he’s safe, and get him through this mission so they can stop a potential terrorist attack.
The promise is that Hegarty will pull him out if he’s in immediate danger. Just three coughs, Hegarty assures him.
And JD will be right there for him.
All Billy has to do is hang in there. Hegarty gives Billy the signal to make if danger is looming. Gives Billy quite the pep talk.

And he gives him his next mission.
But with someone closing in, and Billy spiraling, how is this going to work?
Because if Billy is already asking for signals to get out, that must mean he’s about to face a situation that’s going to make him want to use it, right?
