Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 4 Exclusive Sneak Peek: Has Daniela Reached Her Breaking Point?

- Advertisment -

TV Fanatic has scored an exclusive sneak peek for Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 4, and we’re officially worried.

Daniela has been going through something most of us could never imagine, and it seems she’s reached her breaking point.

The good news is, she’s saying the words out loud.

The bad news is they can’t possibly be words Jason wants to hear.

We’ve been discussing Daniela’s emotional state since the first season, but nothing prepared her for what happened on Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 1.

She killed a version of Jason, and what she’s done is incomprehensible in its scale, particularly since she loves a version of the man she killed.

Now she’s just fumbling through a life that no longer belongs to her.

You’d think Jason would be going through something similar. He’s seen himself die. I’ve lost track of how many.

But if you remember the urgency with which he fought his way back to the woman he loves and the fear he experienced seeing versions of himself without her and versions of her foreign to him, you know what Daniela is feeling is more profound.

Jason saw a Daniela die during Dark Matter Season 1, and that shook him. If he had been responsible for that death, it would have been worse.

That’s what Daniela is living with every day now.

Top that off with another frightening thought.

She no longer trusts that the man she knows and loves is the man she knows and loves.

Sure, they have matching tattoos and safe words. And logically, she knows they’re in a safe place and she’s found the right man, her Jason.

But she’s also seen, through those other versions of him, Jason’s potential

to be different. To be dangerous. She also knows that if that man appears beside her and threatens her, she’ll kill him.

Until she says the words out loud in this clip, I’m not sure Jason ever thought about it that way. He’s been so certain of her that he failed to realize she wasn’t as certain of him.

That’s the funny thing about humans. Even when we’re being as empathetic and compassionate as we believe we can be, we still think of ourselves first.

That makes it tough to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, even when you love someone as much as Jason loves Daniela.

Take a look at the clip.

Where do you think this will take Daniela? Can their relationship survive the kind of pain she’s feeling in this moment?

Will Jason cradle her in his arms and tell her everything will be alright? Is that the kind of comfort she needs right now?

There are many questions. Maybe we’ll get answers on Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 4.
