Fire Country Season 3 Episode 4 Spoilers: Things Are Heating Up

Spoilers

Things are pretty hot in the Fire Country universe, and we’re not just talking about what’s left of Bodiela’s smoldering ashes.

Fire Country Season 3 Episode 4 spoilers will get your gears greased for the newest episode to fill your Friday night.

Fans hesitated about Fire Country Season 3 after the show experienced declining ratings during its second season. We wondered if the show’s first-season magic only worked because it was new.

A shortened ten-episode season caused major issues for the budding show, but the CBS network approved the series for a third season anyway.

And as a Fire Country fanatic, this is one viewer who is uber-glad they took the risk!

Fire Country Season 3 returned like a flash fire, searing through its competition like a phoenix rising from the ashes. The action started with the first episode’s opening scene and hasn’t burnt out yet.

There is hope for the show, after all!

First, we might finally be free from the soap opera drama that the show forced us to endure throughout its second season.

From Gabriela breaking her engagement post-wedding ceremony because she was in love with Bode to her ending any chance of a relationship with him in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 3.

The baby daddy drama involving Jake and his adoptive daughter, Gene, also seems to be winding down. Hopefully.

We just found out Rick is the once-unknown father. Poor Bode.

Gene isn’t happy about that news, and she’s been shutting Jake out. We expect Fire Country Season 3 Episode 4 to push the story towards a resolution. It would be great to see Gene turn to Bode for advice.

Now that Bode doesn’t have prison or Gabriela to restrain him, he’ll need something to keep him grounded. The show made a big deal out of the emotional bond Bode felt towards G during the second season. Yet we haven’t seen him interact with her at all in the third season.

Being Uncle Bode might be the ticket to his redemption.

Especially once Camden Casey makes an impression on Bode’s reckless side in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 5.

Bode is already in hot water with Jake after his role in the near-death of a fellow firefighter in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 2. The incident itself was not the issue, but Bode stole a medical alert necklace to hide the crucial mistake.

Jake left it up to the victim to take the matter to the bosses, which would have ultimately resulted in Bode being kicked out of fire training and Gabriela being kicked out of the FD.

As we enter Fire Country Season 3 Episode 4, Bode is running on two strikes. One more mistake, and he’s out of fire training despite only being in the program for one training session.

I’m still unsure whether Jake overreacted to Bode using insider news to cheat the fire test. Technically, he wasn’t the one who decided to cheat. He just gave his partner the information and then followed her as she decided to use the cheat to their advantage.

I’d love to hear your thoughts here, Fire Country Fanatics. I sway between liking and hating Jake with every episode. I don’t want to let my clouded feelings tarnish my perception.

Did Bode deserve to get kicked out of fire training for telling Audrey where to find the fire dummy? His grandfather gave him the tip — not necessarily an exact answer.

The latest promo shows a confrontation between Bode and Jake as they get ready to handle a trapped elevator emergency as the power shuts down due to intense heat overload.

A failing elevator holds Gabriela and Manny inside with bystanders.

With Bode already on thin ice, Jake demands that Bode leave behind his cowboy ways if he’s going to stay in the CFD.

That’s a nice hint at the upcoming guest star joining Fire Country. Jared Padalecki will have a three-episode arc that might lead to a spinoff.

While he’s a surfer SoCal boy in Fire Country, he formerly played cowboy Texas Ranger Cordell Walker in the reboot of Chuck Norris’s Walker, Texas Ranger, aptly named Walker.

Fire Country Season 3 Episode 3 gave us a deeper look at Vince’s tense relationship with his dad and shed a lot of light on Vince’s behaviors with Bode. The whole show is full of fire department family drama.

Will we see more of Pop Leone now that Vince and Sharon own Smokey’s? He seemed like a drinker.

At least Sharon got her job back. Where does that leave Luke?

This season, the family drama isn’t centered solely on the Leones, and I’m enjoying the dynamic. Since Manny was sentenced to time at Three Rock, he’s had a strained relationship with Gabriela.

Especially since he’s firmly against her having a relationship with Bode. However, it seemed like she finally agreed with him.

We hope that means she’ll come around and forgive Manny for going back to prison. She was so quick to love Bode despite his incarceration. Even when he was behind bars, instead of at Three Rock, she stood by his side.

Where’s that loyalty towards her idol?

It could be my old-school generational mindset, but I’m in full support of Manny’s brash actions, which led him to be the alpha inmate at Three Rock now that Bode’s on the outside.

Hey, we needed someone we love to be on a path of redemption; otherwise, we might struggle to connect with the prison camp this season.

Eve’s running the place and finally finding her way. Having Manny as her right hand could lead her to massive professional growth. She’ll need his insights to lead her crew with compassionate authority.

Fire Country Season 3 Episode 3 also set up a fascinating backstory for Eve. After six long years away, Eve might finally go back home.

She and the prison inmate firefighters have been promoting goodwill around Edgewater, trying to build public relations and change opinions.

Given that her family is already angry that she chose firefighting over ranching, it’ll be fun to see how they react now that she’s a firefighter in charge of a camp of prison inmates she wants to bring onto ranch land for controlled burns.

There are plenty of stories Fire Country can pick up and run with now or that they put to the side and resume later in the full season. Hit us up in the comments, and let us know what storyline you hope Fire Country focuses on next.

Which character do you want to know more about? I’m excited about Eve.

The best way to find out what’s going to happen is to tune in live on Fridays at 9/8c on CBS or stream it the next day.
