This was yet again another incredibly good episode. We got to see some new dynamics between the family that we haven’t seen yet, which was really nice to see.
Starting with the main storyline running through this episode, I was genuinely so confused about where we were actually going with it, but I am happy with the way it ended up. Getting to see Mike and Clare working together alone for the first time was so interesting to see, especially with the phone call to Jane from Clare complaining about Mike. It was nice to see that we ended up with them knowing that the other works in a different way but can acknowledge that they do both come to the correct resolution despite their differing methods.
I was honestly shocked to find out that Abby had been kidnapped from her mother, and that was what was being covered up. It didn’t overly make too much sense to me on why that was where the storyline ended; however, I don’t mind it too much because it gave us the ability to see Clare and Mike work together.
Another dynamic we got to see that we haven’t seen before is between Micah and Russ, and it was so wonderful to watch. Russ and Micah are such different kinds of people, and we know that they get along based on the first episode, but it was nice to see that sometimes they really don’t get on. I really enjoyed the fact that Russ finally mentioned what I’ve picked up on, that he doesn’t really have that core bond; Micah has Mike, and Claire has Jane, and Russ doesn’t really have anyone apart from his girlfriend. It was nice to see that being acknowledged as something that Russ finds hard and that is why I think he is becoming my favourite character to watch.

I am so invested in everything that is going on with Jack. I think that it is so fun that everyone assumes that Jack is dead, and we as the audience know that he isn’t. It’s also incredibly hard to work out whether we are meant to like Jack or not. From all the stories that we hear from the family, Jack seems like a great guy; however, we see him as this person who is stalking agents and killing them. It makes for such a difficult conflict that means watching the show is so enjoyable.
I truly cannot tell whether Jack is looking to kill Nina or if he is just trying to warn her away from looking into what she is looking into. Based on the fact that he will have seen Jane tell Nina what she knows about Jack, I am sure that it is just a warning, but I don’t doubt that he would be willing to follow through on that.
Watching Micah and Sydney want to be together was funnier than I expected it to be. I did not expect to see Micah get high; everything that happened after that was perfect. I especially liked Russ calling out Micah for being with Sydney. I do hope that it comes back up for the fact that there really is no way that Micah can ever get away with this relationship without forever ruining his reputation. Even after he is no longer her secret service agent, they are never going to be able to have a proper public relationship.
Every single episode of this show ends with me having a million more questions than I started with. I love the fact that you have to pay such intense detail to everything to make sure that you catch everything going on. Bring on the rest of the season!
